Good morning everyone ~ We are keeping our eye on Tropical Storm Emily. Yesterday they showed her path with a possibility of coming right at and over us, as a hurricane. This morning her path is moving along the coast and she is staying a TS, so hopefully she’ll just head on back out to sea. Rain is expected over the next few days and for that I will be grateful. God’s watering the earth is much better than my hand watering.
Yesterday morning I took my camera out after we had had a nice rain and before it became unbearably hot and humid.
These are blooms of the Pandora vine.
I love this pattern looking from above of Mother-of-millions. The grey/greens and silvery blues are nice too, with a hint of flesh color.
Self-sown Celosia bloom is a bit top heavy .

I love this heart shape. I love hearts, love collecting them, usually seen them all over the place. But, I did not see the heart shaped cloud in the photo I posted a few posts back. Once it was pointed out to me I couldn’t get over how I had missed it. But I had been so impressed by the light and the clouds that I missed the obvious.

The next three pictures are of my shed’s garden with the wonderful crepe myrtle in full bloom right now. She gets top heavy too and starts to bend over with the weight of watered blooms.

Here's hoping that tropical storm doesn't intensify and become more threatening. At least the rain is welcome. Gorgeous blooms, especially on that Mother of Millions bloom head.
Happy to hear the potential of this hurricane is minimal. I SO enjoy seeing the "mad" combination of vine & flower in the last 3 photos...and am instructed by your earlier comments not to overlook the obvious in my own surroundings...

Love the mom of millions photo, what an intricate design. Your roses are so lush and full and huge, just beautiful. I also read your post where you showed us around the area, wow, the rich sure live well, don't they? But then again, they have the headaches of worrying about all their property and vandalism and gated entries and sentries and this and that. On second thought, I think you and I, with our little cottages, are much happier!
Still, it's fun to look at the grand edifices they build. Amazing, amazing.

Enjoyed the tour through your neighborhood, I've never been to Florida; though I'd love to see the Morse Museum someday as they have the collection of all things Louis Comfort Tiffany. The rain has been so welcome! I am glad that my rain barrels are full again. Love, love that Pandora vine! I have been considering to plant at least one crepe myrtle in my tiny garden, just need to find a right spot :) Yours is gorgeous!

Rain is truly a gift from God to a garden. Hope you enjoy plenty of the good rain and none of the bad stormy winds. Your photos of the drippy blooms are precious.

Your flower shots are all so wonderful. I like the growth around your shed. I was thinking of you two when they were predicting things coming your way. I am glad you will be safe.
