Thank you

I want to thank all of you for the encouragement you gave in my last post. I really appreciate it. I felt better after posting, God was giving me my daily strength, and we went out and took care of our errands. Sometimes you wake up feeling better than the day before and you can tell that it's not the same. Then I read your comments and was so blessed and encouraged.

This morning I thought to check my mail account for my blog and found an email from Sandra of Diary of a Stay at Home Mom about my having won her recent give-away of a $20 gift card from Amazon. What a pleasant surprise. Then I had another email from a blogging friend saying they had some thread and beads they thought I might want. Amazing.

Well, with my gift card, I had no idea what I was going to get until I saw that Amazon had jewelry making supplies, and I ordered Czech Seed beads 11/0 size, in different colors and a pkg of beading needles. I will post a picture next week after they get here.

Yesterday when we were out doing errands we stopped at a local art supply store and got a sheet of foam board and a roll of double stick tape for mounting my needlework pieces. I thought I was going to do my latest two pieces today, but didn't get to it, hopefully tomorrow I will. DH made the frames from scraps of molding that we had. I hope also to get these up in my Etsy shop in the next week or so.

Here are the pieces.

This first one is 3 1/2" x 4 1/2".

This piece is 6" x 4".

It's still too hot to do much of anything outside, so I'll be indoors working on more embroidery, and cooking, etc.

I did weed wack two rock borders today but that was it. Sweat was pouring and that is not fun at all.

Hope you all are keeping cool, and keeping your cool, and that the rest of your week is good.

Thanks again for your kind comments.

It was cooler here this morning which gave me a new lease on life. The heat and humidity have been so draining of energy and enthusiasm.
I never supposed I would be so thankful for A/C---something so many generations managed without.
Your needlework pieces are so dainty---I'm glad you had projects to keep your hands busy.

So pleased that you are better. It helps to talk about it, and then the Blessed Lord sends messages to you to help get over the hump of life. If you were not blogging, all of us would be lost without you.

I hope you enjoy the time spent working with your needle and your beadmaking. Glad to hear that your spirit is lifted more today - it was a beautiful and very meaningful post for me that you published on Monday.

Sometimes even UK summer temperatures can overwhelm me but the temperatures you have been suffering with far exceed those. It must be so tough at times trying to do everyday tasks.

Congratulations on winning that gift card.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. Isn't blogland great. I'm not doing so good but that is another story. Love the stitching.

I love your needlework! I also love embroidery but lately time just seems to get away from me, not to mention the fact I think trifocals will be in my future soon.

I know what you mean about the humidity, though for the last few days here it's been much cooler which has brought on more ideas for projects again. Hope your weather cools down soon! Take care.

I am so glad that blogging has given you the lift you need. We all need a boost at times even if words from a stranger behind a computer :-)

Congrats on winning and your needlework is wonderful as always! If you cannot play in the yard now, needlepoint in the cool AC is the next best thing! Have a glorious day...

Hello Flower Lady,

Your needlework is beautiful and it is obvious that it brings you much happiness. Like you, I don't want to go outside to garden in the heat. I am trying to patiently wait for September to arrive and somewhat cooler temperatures :-)

So nice you like to do indoor hobbies that are very pretty and I'm sure therapeutic (like gardening). Congrats on the give-away... what fun. Soon(time flies you know) we will be into our beautiful winter weather and it will be bliss again. :-)
Have a wonderful Friday.
