Glimpses of beauty

Here it is a few hours later, and I feel a little better. I worked on editing pictures taken the past couple of days. These glimpses of beauty always make me feel thankful, in spite of upsets that happen during my life. I know a lot of you feel the same way about your gardens. You can walk out into them and your troubles seem to melt into the background. Living in the beauty of the moment is more important. All things will work out.

Go to a garden
And just stand in it.
Breathe in the air, the fragrances,
the light, the temperature,
the music of the different plants, insects, birds, worms,
caterpillars, grasshoppers, and butterflies.
Inhale the prana (cosmic energy) of all the abundantly
growing things.
Recharge your inner batteries.
This is the joy of natural meditation."
Lama Surya Das, "Awakening to the Sacred," 1999

Your blooms are gorgeous! "All things will work out" is a line that I use often. The quote is also very inspiring. As I type this, it's Monday morning here (7.08 AM)...great start to the day! Enjoy your Monday!!

I'm not into the New Age stuff but that quote about meditation just about sums up how I feel when I'm in my garden. Such lovely blooms. My garden is becoming more muted with the colors of Fall. What a wonderful time of year!

Thank you for the music and the beautiful photos. Sometimes creating and expressing is a great release for a stressful situation.

Beautiful photos.

I wanted to tell you that I bought a ground orchid today at HD for $2.50. Spathoglottis Plicata. I remember you had some earlier this year, or was it last? How did they do? I have to keep these in the greenhouse this winter, but that's okay.

Good morning folks.

Jane ~ I have found that there are bits of wisdom, or food for thought in lots of different views. I really liked this quote also. Enjoy the beginning of your fall weather and gardens.

Kanak ~ Glad you like the quote and that it was a good start to your week. All things will work out, it just doesn't seem like it sometimes.

L.D. ~ You are right. We need 'de-stressors' in this life. Pictures of beautiful things and wonderful music are just two of them.

Nell ~ Boy, did you get a good deal on that. Mine is in bloom right now. There is some die-back with the leaves, and I hope I won't lose it because of all of the rain that we've been having. With your green thumb and your green house, yours should survive nicely for you.

Have a great weekend everyone.
