Good morning Everyone ~ It is another drippy morning as we had yet another thunderstorm pass over early last evening dumping more rain. Our jungle is growing like crazy. It’s too wet to mow in the morning, too hot and miserable to mow in the middle of the day, and the mosquitoes are out at night.
I took some pictures earlier and wanted to get this post done before I head off to work.
So, here are today’s blooms.
This sweet little rose bud is Phyllis Bide.
Crepe myrtle
Another stem of Vanda orchids.
Resurrection Ferns growing up our Norfolk pine tree. When there is no rain, this fern is just a dry, brown shriveled bit of stuff, but as soon as it rains it becomes this.
This is an unknown fern given to me by a friend many years ago. Maybe someone who grows ferns will be able to give me a name.
These are Mexican petunias.
These next several pics are of the sweet little rose called Cocktail. I’ve had her many, many years now.
Thank you for your anniversary wishes. We had a lovely celebration dinner last night.
Hope you all have a great weekend whatever you are doing.
For those in flooded areas and those where the wild fires are burning, may you all have relief soon.

Beautiful blooms this morning. Love the rain droplets over everything. Is that some type of asparagus fern? I know there are several different kind.
Wow! these are gorgeous! Amazing photos!
Enjoyed my visit,
Kathy
The rain drops on the blooms are gorgeous. Glad you had a great anniversary celebration. I would have guessed some sort of asparagus fern, too. They're so soft, I love to pet them.
We are having downpour here right now. Your flowers after the rain just look so beautiful! I totally understand what you meant by mosquitos. With all these rains, mosquitos are just out of control. Since I basically only have night time to gardening, the mosquitos these days are keeping me indoors :( Have a good weekend!
I would love to just come and sit
a while in your beautiful flower
garden. Thanks for faithfully
sharing all the beauty in your
yard.
Have a beautiful weekend.
Blessings~
Flowerlady, your lilac crepe myrtle is simply to die for. I just love it! The Vanda orchid is also especially beautiful. Your are so lucky that you "just" can grow them outside. Happy belated anniversary!

The colors are so vibrant. I bet everything just pops after a good rain shower.
I think I've told you before, but that crepe myrtle is incredible!
I am sorry your weather is so difficult, right now, difficult to be out when it is so humid, isn't it?
I wonder if your mystery fern isn't Asparagus densiflorus 'Sprengeri', or Sprenger's Asparagus Fern? Perhaps a google search would confirm it?
Take care and stay cool!
Happy belated anniversary to you. We've had lots of rain here, too in the past 2 weeks. The ground is good and wet and the plants and weeds are growing like crazy.
Cocktail looks positively radiant, especially with that fine misting of water droplets.
The name of the plant that you were looking for is commonly known as Ming Fern. You can Goggle it. That's how I found you site:).
I want to thank Helen here for telling me the name of the fern I didn't know. It is a Ming Fern, an asparagus fern. I couldn't find a way to contact you Helen, so will publicly thank you here.
