Good evening Folks ~ We worked outside this morning doing some clean up, and moving planters around, etc. I’ll show pictures later of this ‘curbside shopped’ planter, made of cement with raised flowers and birds on it.
I also got a load of laundry washed, hung out and brought back in. Rain was predicted, but we’ve had none ‘yet’. I do hope we get some.
Sat. we hooked up city water to the garden faucets. PVC work, but now all faucets are hooked up and ready to hand water.
DH got my GIMP art/photo program ready to go for me and I’ve been having fun ever since. I already posted one photo I did using Louis Philippe rose, below is the next one of Prosperity roses.
Just before I sat down to do this post, I made up Cottage Cheese Breakfast Roll dough. It is in the fridge. In the morning I will divide the dough into two balls, roll out circles, and cut each circle into 10 pie wedge shapes. Roll up from the wide end and bake for 20 minutes, then frost with a crm. cheese, powdered sugar frosting. This is a new recipe for me, from Hosta Lady.
Hope you all are enjoying the many moments that are making up your day/evening, and enjoy the rest of the week.

Great photo! Your recipe sounds delicious too! Hope you have a great week!
You accomplished a lot! I am very interested in GIMP - I like the way it makes pictures look - your Prosperity is wonderful!
What a beautiful rose. I am loving white roses this year. Your'e making me hungry - and I just ate!
Prosperity is a beautiful rose. I like your photo. I haven't heard of that software. Glad you're enjoying it and having such good results so quick. That recipe looks yummy. I must try it - soon! Enjoy your breakfast tomorrow.
Beautiful flowers and photo.

Your rose looks like it's floating on air. Fabulous! Yummy recipe too. Fingers crossed that you'll get some rain.
Wow, You surely are having fun with the GIMP art program. Beautiful photo! What have you done with GIMP to the original photo? Just curious :)
That is a great photo! The recipe does sound delish. We are getting a little rain everyday now here...supposed to dry again this weekend though.
I love how it seems to just be hanging there in mid air suspended magically! Beautiful photo!
Your pictures were always wonderful before, so now I'm really going to be blown away by your lovely shots of flowers in bloom.
Sounds like you have had a very busy, productive week. Looking forward to seeing your newest planter.
I like the background on the Prosperity Roses. When I took classes years ago in tole painting we learned to apply layers of oils to create a softly smudged background.
I'm interested that you have plants flowering in such heat and humidity. My KY garden is looking very dreary--I've cut plants back--waiting for rain to revive them for a second blooming.
The description of the cottage cheese breakfast rolls is making me hungry! I've never tried manipulation of images before but it looks like fun and creates beautiful images.
FlowerLady, your pictures are always an inspiration to me to continue trying to keep my garden alive. I don't know if it can ever be as beautiful as yours, because of our extremely hot climate (almost all my roses have died), but I dream of having flowers such as those you have in your garden.
The roses are adorable.
We also make meals with cottage cheese in India. We call it paneer.

The Prosperity is beautiful. These photos make me think of paintings that should be framed and hung.
I like the sound of that recipe. Now I need to make some cottage cheese!
With your lovely prosperity roses and a good recipe, I'm certainly enjoying myself here. The photo picture look like a nice piece of art.
Prosperity is beautiful and I like the dreamy background effect. I've never heard of GIMP...can't wait to see more of your photos.
So sorry to hear of the loss in your area. I pray that all that are involved are covered with God's peace. Carla
