The flower below is on my bush Grand Duke Jasmine. It is loaded with these wonderful smelling flowers.
These two are in bloom in the hedge of the ‘secret garden’, which is to the south of the courtyard area. The ‘Incense’ passion bloom fills the air with its sweet scent too.
My friend Nanci, who has the shop next to where I work, gave me 5 orchids that I’ve shown the flowers of before. I was thrilled to say the least. She was going away for a few weeks and didn’t want them to die. She had already lost a couple of plants. I don’t know the name of this orchid or what type it is. I hope and am pretty sure that someone out there will be able to tell me. Here is a picture I took and posted awhile back. They have big oval shaped leaves. They had all seen better days, but I hope to keep them alive and have them thrive.
Ok, that’s it for now. I hope you all are keeping as cool as possible. Don’t work too hard, or too long in the heat and drink plenty of water.
The sky is dark, the wind is blowing, and thunder is rolling.
Bye for now.

What a great project you have going on. Can't wait to see the end result! I am in love with your Grand Duke Jasmine. I have never heard of it and will do some research to see if I can grow it here in Southern California, too.

This is sooo awesome! Can't wait to see the finished product!!
You will certainly know it has been fixed right and will so appreciate it when it is done. You're doing restoration I didn't even know existed. It's coming along great.
I totally "get" your project! This is my very favorite type of project. And of course you could sleep in it!
I know zilch about orchids except that they're very pretty.
What a fun little project you and your husband have underway! I have a new appreciation for those that can turn something into a work of art, and enjoy the process along the way.
Glad for your rainshowers...they are always a welcome little break in summer.
I enjoy having fragrant plants around the washing, brush against it as you work, and it smells delectable!
What a fabulous project. This will be a very special spot in your garden when all the work is completed. It's amazing how inventive you both are with the use of recycled materials. The view of the Bougainville through the stained glass window is just terrific.
Your Grand Duke Jasmine is such a stunning flower and your Passiflora bloom is beautiful. That lovely Orchid looks like a Phalaenopsis Orchid or Moth Orchid. They like a bright spot out of the direct sunlight, humidity and warm temperatures
I know the results of your newest project will be creative and amazing! The Passion vine photo with the firebush is quite the hot summer combination. Hasn't this rain been a lovely gift from heaven! I'm so happy it has actually kept raining at least a bit each day. The garden is VERY happy.
Have a lovely evening.

Wow - looks like a big project! Love the stained glass windows. That picture of the orange honeysuckle with the purple passionvine is fabulous! I'm going to copy that!
I'm so glad you're getting a respite from the continuous heat. The rain must be so nice for you. Interesting project and lovely plants!
You two are so fun. The project is amazing and will be such a lark to have. I first saw it and thought I hope it was yours and not the neighbors. Your flowers are looking great.
I like the summer project that you and your DH are doing. I'm sure it will turn out to be a cosy little abode for the both of you to enjoy the fragrances of these lovely flowers. The Grand Duke jasmine looks like a beautiful white rose and the passion flower looks so exotic and wiry. Good luck with your orchids!
I love taking something that someone was going to throw away and make it useful and beautiful. We used to go to garage sales on the last day snd buy things that no one else wanted. Some people have a "vision" of what it could be...I think that you and your hubby are like that. Can't wait to see it finished. Balisha
Love the stained glass! The flowers of the Grand Duke Jasmine look like miniature gardenias. The passionflower looks fantastic.
What a fun project. The stained glass windows are just so pretty. Id you ever put DH in the dog house that new trailer will be no great sacrifice. LOL!
The Passion flower is so pretty. Have a wonderful weekend!
I love how the project is coming together. You and your husband are so creative and talented.
I want to see it finished with the faux floors...I can just imagine it.
Great idea on sleeping there during the remodel of the bedroom.
I think it fits your cottage and surrounding gardens perfectly!
That's an incredible passion flower blossom! I know they are noted for their blooms, but wow!
Love the little Gypsy Wagon. the stained glass windows are going to wonderful. A little Jewel in your garden. Never tire of seeing all your flower pictures. Trying to do a little catch up.
I'm glad I made it here to see what you were talking about in your most recent post. What a fun project!
Your Gypsy Wagon is such a creative project. It is coming together nicely and I know it will be wonderful when finished. Thanks for the update.
Is your Grand Duke jasmine a bush or vine? It is really pretty and to smell great too is an added pleasure.
