Monday

Good evening Folks ~ We’ve had supper, turkey meatloaf, kale and green peas cooked in a little olive oil, with garlic, onion powder, and mashed potatoes, and wine.  Nice.

Today was errand day. It’s always nice to get back home.

We never did get the predicted rain, barely had sprinkles. It is really warm and humid. Does NOT feel like October at all.

I washed a load of laundry and hung out on the lines to day.  I really  enjoy the newly fenced in clothesline area.  Tork enjoys it too.  I’ve got to wash the fencing down with TSP before painting, and hopefully tomorrow morning I can do that project.

I worked on embroidering another heart sachet today.  I finished two yesterday that I had been working on.

Here the three are, plus two smaller ones. I love working on these, and once I fill them with dried lavender flowers, the whole experience becomes healing of body, mind and spirit.

Below is a picture of our indoor/outdoor girl Tork. I had disturbed her sleep. Smile

She is now sleeping once again.

I found out about a nice place for ‘stitchers’ and joined. I am inspired by the creations shown there.

Stitchin Fingers

A fellow embroider contacted me as she wants to embroider the passion flowers and wanted permission to copy my pictures. I sent her the pics and can hardly wait to see what she does with the photos as she is an exquisite embroiderer.

That’s it for tonight.  It’s time to get horizontal to read for awhile before sleep.

Sweet post. I love your kitty,
heart sachets, and I looked at
the link and saw your bluebird.
I love it too! So pretty. I will
have to check back when I have
more time. Looks like a really
interesting site.
Enjoy your reading.

I've been too busy to read all my favorite blogs lately, but I had to stop by and see what you've been up to. How busy you've been! So happy your car was profitably towed away. What a nice feeling that must have been. Love the new fence you found for your garden, how beautiful it is and a perfect addition to your lovely landscape.

I don't think I could handle gardening 365 days a year; I know it would wipe me out. Plus all the heat you have to endure. All too soon we'll be climbing thru snowbanks, but it is nice to have an excuse to work on things inside, too.

Love your new sachets and the perfectly contented kitty, I can just picture you working on your gorgeous sewing projects with Tork by your side. Makes me smile!

Your hearts are beautiful and I can understand people wanting to make them also from your photos. Your cat is adorable.

Oh, how talented you are. I do good to hem a pair of slacks or sew a button on. Your handwork is beautiful. Love the scent of Lavender. Mine is growing and need to do something simple with it.
Have a good day...

Tork looks a lot like my Willie that we lost...then, sadly, we lost her daughter too who was another lookalike.

The sachets are beautiful.

I can't get over how gorgeous that passion flower is. I am sure we are too far north but I am going to do some checking.

Good luck with the fence painting!

I am always refreshed and inspired by a visit to your blog. You manage to make a smallish yard so appealing with flowers and the creative use of 'found' materials.

Great job! I LOVE your kitty. She looks just like the "Shelly" I lost several years ago. Cats RULE. :)

Hi Flowerlady, i am looking for your garden post today from your 3 blogs, so just settled here. I have been an embroiderer too when i was younger, but it seems i've already outgrown it. Now i am in photography and I can't seem to go back to embroidery, cross-stitching, etc. Just to show you that i've had too much of it in the past, my left thumb has an operation on 'repetitive stress injury or RSI', because of too much cross-stitching. haha!
