Gratitude

Dear Friends,

I just wanted to post a link to a post that really touched me heart and soul as I read it while sipping my coffee this morning. I am looking forward to getting ‘1000 Gifts’ by Ann Voskamp.  This posting of hers is why.

Thanks for directing me to that link today (I don't read her everyday and had missed this.) And guess what we're singing tomorrow in church? "A Mighty Fortress is Our God"! (She mentioned that in the post.)

Thank you for sharing this lovely post. I was feeling much the same way this morning. What an inspiration!

I've been feeling this way since mid August .. but I know it's a passing phase each summer when I try to preserve every bit of garden goodness for winter storage. The floors will get washed eventually .. and hubby is good about sweeping :)

I'm sure that post hits home with alot of us. Some days/weeks/months, it seems it takes everything out of you just to put one foot in front of the other every single day.

I sincerely get the "why"

What a great post! I would have commented to her but I couldn't find a comment button. I too get bogged down in perfectionism - if I can't do it ALL perfectly, why do ANYTHING?

Thank you for linking to it, and for posting your lovely pictures. First and foremost, I want to start spending more time smelling the flowers, watching the butterflies, enjoying my yard and home, and the remainder of my life with my wonderful spouse.

What a stunning butterfly. I've never before seen one like that.

Now I must go check that link. Have a fantastic day!
