These tornadoes are so horrifying. I do hope our blogging friends from these states will check in. My heart goes out to all who have lost loved ones, homes and property.
Zone 10 ~ s.e. FL
It does not mean
to be in a place
where there is no noise,
trouble
or hard work.
It means to be in the midst
of those things
and still
be calm in your heart.

the devastation on the news is heartbreaking...we are waiting on the storms to pass through here this morning. Not supposed to be quite as severe as the others have seen.
I'm hoping all are well too.
It was horrible to be sure. We had mostly rain and winds. No damage. I am trying to check in with a few bloggers I follow from N.Alabama. In Alabama 128 dead yesterday and 30 in MS. I expect they will classify it as a F5. In Tuscaloosa and at the campus there 13 dead. It is sad that there is so much devastation.
On the news, I think that was the biggest picture of a tornado I've ever seen. I, too, hope everyone is o.k. What a horrible experience to have to go through!
I got in my car this morning at 4:30 to head into work and the weather alarm went off on the radio saying we were under a Tornado Watch until Noon... GREAT... I thought and I'm driving in this and it's still dark so I can't see a thing in the distance. Luckily nothing occurred except a few rain drops and a bit of rumbling. ALL SAFE here in Central SC. My DH may be interviewing for a job in Melborne Florida; I will have to learn another gardening zone!
After an entire evening of very heavy rains,
high winds and light hail, we are fine. Just
had tree branches and debris to pick up from
the yard this morning. We are all fine and
our home is intact. Praise God! We are in
prayer for all those who were not as fortunate.
I was up before dawn after the weather radio made that whyant, whyant noise that lets you know.... We were just north of the area under a tornado warning. School buses full of children were being diverted to a school with a safe gym and there was chaos in town. We just had wind and a blessed inch of rain.
Tuscaloosa (where I went to college for a year and a half) is in terrible shape. What an awful day yesterday was! I, too, hope people are OK and pray those that aren't get the help they need. Right now we have the tail-end of that system about 20 miles to the west, coming our way. Praying for safety for all and no more deaths. There are still tornado watches on the Atlantic coast.
Thinking of those who have endured loss and hardship, this weather rolling through our southern states is so extreme.
Heartbreaking. Our prayers are with them. They need so much help now. How do you rebuild all those lost memories and photos etc.? Maybe we should all have back-up photos stored with another or somewhere safe.
Sending love,

Sorry I am so far behind in my comments to you.... With hand splinted typing is not very productive.
Glad to see your post this morning and hope you stay safe. /
So sad for all the people suffering storm and family losses. Breaks my heart. I personally know how mothers natures wrath can be.
Stay safe and hope DH's hand is better.
Hugs Chris
We had some tornadoes and the worst thunder storms I had ever witnessed. I really was worried as I watched from the windows and followed the weather reports. I am concerned about my Alabama friends.
It has been a very wacky spring. Like the rest of you.. my prayers too, go out to those who were devastated by that huge tornado, it was the biggest I have every seen shown on TV. I have relatives that live in the upstate of South Carolina ( western). I thank God that it didn't past through that area, because it did hit some areas of North Carolina.
Thank you for your concern and such a nice post. I love your new blog header!
