Good morning Folks ~ I hope you all have a great weekend whatever you do. I'm working again today at my job. It was very quiet there yesterday, today is usually 'looker day', which means people are looking and rarely buying. But you never know. Zone 10 ~ s.e. FL
It is very warm and humid out already. I was doing some things in our screened room, plus have been moving the sprinkler around the main garden. Today is one of my two watering days here.
Below are some pics taken yesterday and this morning.
First we an unknown lily grown from seed. I think they were candy lilies from an exchange, but I don't know for sure. Guess I won't know until I see the flowers. No sign of them yet. I think these are two years old, maybe three.
Here is our bird bath, that has tadpoles in it so I hate to clean it out. The do take care of some of the mosquito population. The reflections caught my eye.
This was also grown from seed and is some kind of honeywort.
I just noticed these blooms this morning.
Hamelia patens and Vanda orchids in the morning sunlight.
Coleus and a lancepod tree seedling.
Avocado seedling.

Hi Flower Lady, what will you be doing with the avocado seed in a pot? The form of the lily is very nice even if it's not flowering yet. But why do you have a Vanda orchid label but it's not in the photos? just wondering! thanks
Hi Andrea ~ I will probably just keep repotting this avocado. We already have one growing on our property. They are slow growers.
The vanda orchids are just about in the center of the picture in the blue sky. If you click on the picture, you will get a closer view and see them.
Happy gardening ~ FlowerLady
I love that first lily foliage, I think it's beautiful!
I can't pull up and toss good seedlings either! I have about a dozen tomato plants that have self seeded; one in the hummingbird bed. Leaving them all, of course.
I hope you have a good weekend too even with work.
Oh, surprise lilies are fun. When they bloom we sigh and say "yeah". LOL! Now we all want to see what they are when they bloom ;-) That is such a lovely coleus. Do you let it go to seed? Real subtle aren't I? LOL!
Have a wonderful weekend.
I love the reflection in the birdbath -- it looks like a wonderful watercolor painting. The Hamelia and Vanda Orchids photo is gorgeous too.
the reflections are cool
It is an interesting shape no matter what it is called. You are very green there and we are not also very green. We were very warm today and our humidity probably was just as high as yours. I hope you have a great Sunday.
How cool that you have tadpoles in your birdbath! Do your birds eat them?
Well, it got up to at least 86 degrees today, and the highs for the week are in the mid to upper 80s, with lows in the 60s. Whew, I had to come in and take breaks from my gardening today! I'm almost finished planting things.
