Good afternoon Folks ~ I hope you are enjoying this first day of March. Spring will be here before we know it, and I know so many of you are looking forward to this day. Some of you are already out playing in your gardens and that's great.
We have a lattice grotto at the entry to my shed. Tork, our outdoor Tabby, has taken to walking the top of the lattice wall from the back of our cottage over to the grotto and tip toeing through thorns to get to a protected nook.
The following pictures were taken this morning. There are 4 different kinds of roses plus bougainvillea growing up and over the shed. Click on pictures for larger view. You certainly can't see her in the first picture, but she was there.
It is the first mild day of March:
Each minute sweeter than before,
The redbreast sings from the tall larch
That stands beside our door.
There is a blessing in the air,
Which seems a sense of joy to yield
To the bare trees, and mountains bare;
And grass in the green field.

Awwww...I love your tiger in the jungle! Adorable photos. I also enjoyed reading the poem about March. What fitting words for this beautiful Florida day...and a wonderful feeling it gave me with the lovely soft music on this most perfect day of 2010!
Oh what a sweetie! I think that is why I adore cats. They find the darndest spots and watch us while we go about our chores. Are they protecting us? Or watching and waiting for the perfect time to pounce?....LOL Kit
Beautifully sunny and warm - I love the cat peeping through the lattice. :-)
What a cutie. She must tiptoe to get across all those thorns :)
I really liked the poem too!
Love the kitty peeking through the lattice. The poem is nice, too...except March isn't necessarily 'mild' just yet;-) (not here, anyway). How nice to have all of those plants growing and climbing up all over in March!
Well, I love cats and gardens. Your photos are precious...I can see why that is the place for a nap :^)
How cute, I love the pics :)
Your tiger is definitely stealth, but not enough to be missed by your camera! She's adorable! Great photos!
What a cute cat! If I were a cat, I'd hang out in your garden too!

What a wonderful picture showing the nature of cats! If it were our indoor/outdoor cat, she would be getting ready to reach out and 'touch you' as you walk by.
Our first day of March was pretty cold with just a little sunshine.
Still no gardening here.
Cats are such fun to observe in the garden. Our girls stay inside as it is too dangerous for them in our area. However, the neighbor’s kitty OJ is my garden buddy. I have such fun watching him explore every nook and cranny in the garden and woods. It amazes me how he can walk the top of the chain link fence! They are such agile creatures...
Love these pictures of your cat's hideaway. Thankyou for your kind words on my blog this morning.

Now he has found the perfect little hideaway. LOL! Is that a mimosia limb I see on the left?

Cats can find the best places to hide!
Hi FlowerLady,
Happy March to you, too. I love your kitty photos. What a cool place to hang out!
So sweet my friend. It is amazing how the love of an animal can open our hearts to many other things.
Tork looks very happy in his secret hiding place. It's funny how thorns don't seem to bother kitties.
How enchanting, I love that little face peeking through the lattice.
