From My House to Yours ~ Merry Christmas

~~~ Christmas Greetings from Plum Cottage ~~~
Dear Folks ~ Forgive me for being away so long, the longest I've ever not posted. Time is zipping right along. Things have been happening here, the load on my shoulders is being lifted and I am oh so thankful. There's still a lot to do, but forward progress is being made. I  'plan'  to get back into blogging more regularly in the new year.
It's hard to believe Christmas is a week from tomorrow. May you have times of love, joy and peace during this holiday season. May the Hope of the season fill your hearts to overflowing. Jesus, God with skin on, was born because of His great love for us. He came to save us all, so that we could spend eternity with Him. No more pain, death, sorrow, or sin, all will be peace and joy forevermore. If you don't yet know Him, my prayer is that you will come to know Him and love him. You are precious to Him. Seek Him and you will find Him.
******
Now here are some glimpses from my home sweet home, the little haven that we created here through the years. We moved in here in 1973. It was built in 1950-1951. A tiny house before the movement of tiny homes began.
Jesus said,
“Come to me,
all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
Matthew 11:28-29
******
May your Christmas week be peace filled wherever you are, whatever you are doing.
May 2022 be a better year for all, all around the world.
Love, prayers & hugs,
FlowerLady
Your home looks wonderful for the Christmas season, Lorraine. So many things I like about it when looking around........your lovely lit-up tree, the book shelves with all your treasured books, the gold mantel, the Mary and Jesus painting, the little white bird (I have one just like that with a red hat), and the white vase of flowers on your kitchen table. I think I see red roses in the bunch. The Nativity scene is beautiful. Everything looks so warm and cozy all decorated for the season. A Merry Christmas to you, Lorraine. May the spirit of Christmas fill your heart with joy and love.
Lorraine, it is so good to see your post. Your pictures are just lovely, it seems you really managed to get decorated for Christmas with plenty of cheer. Did I catch a peek of Miss Tork in one of the photos? Hope she's doing well too. Your rooms look absolutely lovely and the way you captured the reflection of your tree in the mirror is remarkable. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, and that you will be able to see family and friends at Christmas. I really like your little white Snowbird wearing the knitted hat. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, Lynn and Precious
I also love that you have made so much room for books in your "tiny home." So glad to hear that things are going well and burdens are being lifted. Praise God. Have a very Merry Christmas!
I'm going to have to go back for a second look to fully enjoy everything. Your needlework heart shows up so beautifully on your Christmas tree. It really sparkles.
Oh Lorraine, your little house is adorable. It doesn't even look real, it looks like a doll's house. It is decorated so pretty and looks so safe and cozy. I could spend a week there with you just admiring everything. Hope you have a warm wonderful Christmas. Your post is beautiful.
Hello Lorraine, it's been a while.
Your home looks, as always, lovely.
Can I ask, have you ever listened to Handel's 'Messiah'?
Blessings and all that's good to you.
Your cottage is darling, Lorraine. It's so cozy and inviting. The arched doorways, the planked and beamed ceilings, and the oh-so charming kitchen, along with all your books and memorabilia and vintage decor is just lovely. Now dressed for Christmas it's even more precious. Great to see so much of your cottage. Have a very Merry Christmas, my friend.
Your house is so beautiful and welcoming. I love all the little touches in it. I could look, and look, and look at all the interesting items and furniture and artistic touches and craftsmanship like the wood ceilings and the skirted counters. And the holiday touches are just so interesting and unique.
Hello Lorraine, thank you for such a lovely tour of your home. I felt like you took me by the hand and showed me around, then we sat, had tea and chatted about all the memory ornaments.
I love your decorations and your cozy home. I miss our little home in Ohio, but so grateful for the one we have now in Colorado.
The garland with little bells just tickle me and made me smile. Who knows why!
I have a little tree just like yours. I call it my memory tree, since all my ornaments are from something special. I try to get one each year to represent the one thing that was most important to us that year. Need to slow down that tradition though, they aren't all fitting on my tree :-).
Merry Christmas to you and wishing you God's blessings, Dee
Hello, FL!! Good to see you here again. I'm also slow posting these days. I've never before gotten such a good look at the inside of your house! What a beautiful space. Those rounded archways are so pretty, and you don't see them often. It seems like a very open and airy home, bright and cozy - perfect. I love your coffee table, and the wooden ceiling too.
Happy New Year to you! May this be a year of healing and hope for us all. Much love from NC.
