Good evening Folks ~
A friend of mine from church had back surgery to relieve pressure on a pinched nerve that was affecting his right leg. That was right around Thanksgiving. Drs said that the pain in his leg would be gone after surgery. Pain has only gotten worse.
I just saw him yesterday when I visited his elderly MIL who is widowed and lives with he and his wife, Shana. He said he had an MRI scheduled for March, soonest he could get one. Said his primary dr told him he ought to see a nerve specialist. I guess he did that today because I got word a little while ago that he is having emergency surgery at 6 a.m. tomorrow to save his leg.
Requesting prayers for him and the medical staff that works on him. Pray for Shana, also, and for Katy, MIL.
Thank you and I will keep you posted.

They will all be in my thoughts, as they prepare, and then wait for news, and for you too. Thank goodness the surgery will be immediate. XXX
I am so sorry to hear this, FL. That's so scary. I do hope they can save his leg and relieve his pain! Will pray for him this morning.
Praise God he went to the nerve specialist. Sometimes I fear for the state of healthcare in this country anymore. Yes, praying for Shana’s husband...the Lord knows.
I will certainly be holding this situation and each one up in prayer.
Bless you~
Sending prayers for your friend and his family. I hope that the new doctors can restore his leg.
Prayers for your sweet friend. This is why back surgery is so tricky things can go very wrong. Terry is having a nerve guy put a shot in his back this coming Wednesday to hopefully relieve his pinched nerve and disc issue. I do not want him to go down that road to have to have surgery. Outcomes are usually not good. So I am praying for your friend.
Hugs,
Kris
I don't understand
What exactly happened to his leg that required emergency surgery?
Love and praying.
I am so sorry! That must be frightening for your friend. I will be praying for he and his wife.
Oh my. Definitely sending prayers for your friend.
Praying, Lorraine.
May all go well with that surgery.Sounds pretty serious.
Prayers for your friend. I have a sciatic issue from my vertebrae compressing. I know how painful nerve pain can be.
xx, Carol
