‘Hugs-n’-kisses’ Hibiskiss

To answer the question some of you have asked regarding my collage of this wonderful hibiscus, yes these blooms are all from the same plant.

Here is a link about these wonderful variety of hibiscus.

Here is my collage once again. If you can find this grab it, you won’t be disappointed.  I bought mine at Home Depot in March of last year, three months after my dear husband went to be with Jesus. The colors of the blooms made me gasp and head over to them, and then seeing the name of the plant did it to me, I loaded it up into my cart.

Looking at this collage again, I am truly amazed and the wonderful colors!!!

I am starting to think I might have a new love in hibiscus.  Besides this one I have 5 others in pink, red and salmon.

Wow! That is one amazing hibiscus with many different faces. They surely don't shrink from Florida's ridiculous heat and humidity do they! Try to stay cool for another couple of months while we eagerly wait for fall. hugs, Meems

Beautiful, the blooms, the photos, and a super collage. I can see that printed and framed on your wall, Hugs, as you have summer heat, (4 Celsius here now,) Jean.

I have a huge potted one on my back patio. It is the one in the bottom right hand corner. My daughter gave it to me. It's huge now.

Dear Lorraine, that is truly an outstandingly beautiful and interesting hibiscus variety! It is so amazing how much the color of the blooms can change.
Hibiscus grows here in Southern California, too, but because of our arid climate many plants have problems with white flies. For that reason I have been staying away from buying them, but your beauty could make me change my mind. Wishing you a nice week!

"God the Artist" by Angela Morgan

God, when you thought of a pine tree,
How did you think of a star?
How did you dream of the Milky Way
To guide us from afar.
How did you think of a clean brown pool
Where flecks of shadows are?

God, when you thought of a cobweb,
How did you think of dew?
How did you know a spider's house
Had shingles bright and new?
How did you know the human folk
Would love them like they do?

God, when you patterned a bird song,
Flung on a silver string,
How did you know the ecstasy
That crystal call would bring?
How did you think of a bubbling throat
And a darling speckled wing?

God, when you chiseled a raindrop,
How did you think of a stem,
Bearing a lovely satin leaf
To hold the tiny gem?
How did you know a million drops
Would deck the morning's hem?

Why did you mate the moonlit night
With the honeysuckle vines?
How did you know Madeira bloom
Distilled ecstatic wines?
How did you weave the velvet disk
Where tangled perfumes are?
God, when you thought of a pine tree,
How did you think of a star?

Good evening Lorraine,
Sorry it's been a while, but a difficult couple of weeks. I checked your blog while at work, and saw this beautiful Hibiscus, then just had to email it over to Amanda back at home. It really is a stunner. Hope you are doing ok.

Those blooms from the same bush...WOW, that bush is amazing. Do you have a name for that particular bush, I know I would want one. When I was at Home Depot back in March, I almost got a salmon color one but then saw it did not like temps below 40 so it would sure not make it here. But with the bush you have, I would not mind spending money to see if I could keep it alive.

Quite impressive.
My hibiscus are pretty ordinary.

The Hibiscus is amazing! Some of the blooms are "other worldly"! I can't imagine battling the heat in FL all summer! I'm such a baby about it being too hot......God Bless you as you work in your yard!
