How Precious … and I won 2 different give-aways

Good morning Folks ~ Yesterday was kind of rough, but I made it with God’s grace, peace and strength, flowing through and surrounding me. I went to bed feeling less stressful and depressed, more looking forward to today, and I slept really well last night. I am thankful.

I had a follower of my blog FlowerLady’s Creations, email me asking if everything was ok, because I had not posted there since Sept. So I posted there this morning to let those followers what happened. I forgot all about that blog.

Well, my last post to that blog had two pieces that I was working on at the time, and I haven’t touched since then. This one is so ‘right’ for me now,  I just didn’t know how ‘right’ it would be at that time. God knew though, as He knows every little detail of our lives and He is here for us at all times. This is still a work in progress, as I am.

Yesterday morning I found out I won a give-away from Sandra of some sweet hand crafted pieces and an Amish cookbook. You can read about the give-away here and I’ll post a picture when her pkg arrives. Her blog is sweet, filled with recipes, crafts, home schooling, being a military wife, and her love of life, Diary of a Stay-at-Home Mom.  Then last evening, I found out I won another give-away from Grace, and here is a link to the book I won, ‘Courage of the Soul’. Grace has two blogs: Subplots by Grace and Gardening with Grace.

Mark always loved hearing that I won give-aways, and to have won two close to each other and find out on the same day he would have really enjoyed. Thank you Sandra and thank you Grace.

I stopped at the library on the way to work yesterday to return books and to see what else I might want to bring home.

One was ‘Reawakening to Life ~ Renewal After a Husband’s Death’ and it is really good.  I got 3 others too to inspire me in my new journey. Then I headed to the garden book dept. and found these two ~ “Orleans Embrace with The Secret Gardens of the Vieux Carre” and “The Tropical Garden”. The Tropical Garden has given me much inspiration and I wrote down some ideas for around here.  And I’m looking forward to ‘Orleans Embrace’ as our gardens here are rather secret in that no one knows they exist as we are fenced in from the busy 4 lane road out front. I know this book will be inspiring too.

Each day is a gift. I want to grow and be thankful with each one.

Good morning FlowerLady! How wonderful that you won two giveaways!! Your books sound very interesting. I love reading gardening books and magazines. Especially during winter when I'm waiting for spring to arrive!

How cool to win two give-aways. I'd love to read the Amish cookbook!

I always enjoy seeing your needlework (that piece is so pretty) . . . and it's neat to hear about what you're reading. I want to go to the library now. . . .

God Bless You, Sweet Friend. I know that life without Mark is hard... BUT--you are strong and Mark wants you to be strong. You will do what you need to do to keep his memory alive forever.

Love that song by John Michael Talbot. I've never heard it--but it is fabulous.... Thanks!!!

God Bless You.
Hugs,
Betsy

I love the piece you are working on, I have a lot of pictures and shells around our house because we love the water. I love the sunsets God creates and we only have to drive about a mile to see them reflected off the gulf. I hope to also get some new books on gardening, you have inspired me to want to create some new garden spots in our yard. How wonderful you won the giveaways, isn't it amazing how God just gives us things out of the blue when we need them most. Love you much, your little sister, Cheri

It is just like God to allow you to win these gifts on a day which He knew would be a difficult one. I am sure there will be more experiences like this.God is just that good to us.

I am glad you won those great gifts! I know it made you feel some better. I was thrilled to win an iPad2 for our family to help teach Shaun! God is so good, always providing for us and blessing us in sweet unexpected ways when we need it most.
Love & Prayers,
Sandy

Hi Lorraine,
Our younger grandson is sleeping on a pad on our floor, so I can't watch the videos. I used to listen to Talbot a lot. I don't know why I don't now, except that I tend to listen to the radio, and not my CDs.

I love that piece you are working on.

Congratulations on winning the give aways. I hope the library books are a blessing to you.

Hugs,
Sue
