Have I told you lately ~ Van Morrison

Life and love are precious.

We can never tell our husbands/wives ‘I love you’ too many times.

Don’t put it off, do it now.

You may not have another chance.

This was a favorite song of ours.

FlowerLady

Have I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you there's no one above you
Fill my heart with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what you do

Oh the morning sun in all it's glory
Greets the day with hope and comfort too
And you fill my life with laughter
You can make it better
Ease my troubles that's what you do

There's a love that's divine
And it's yours and it's mine
Like the sun at the end of the day
We should give thanks and pray to the one

Have I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you there's no one above you
Fill my heart with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what you do

There's a love that's divine
And it's yours and it's mine
And it shines like the sun
At the end of the day we will give thanks
And pray to the one

Have I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you there's no one above you
Fill my heart with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what you do

Take away my sadness
Fill my life with gladness
Ease my troubles that's what you do
Fill my life with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles that's what you do.

It was a truly beautiful song. I hope you are doing well and I think about you and your loss and always send good thoughts your way.

That's one of my favorite songs, Lorraine. It made me cry today--thinking of you without your hubby... May God Bless You.. I know that some days are harder than others... Prayers for you.
Hugs,
Betsy

My husband and I have always enjoyed this song, too, as well as the other song you mentioned in the post following this one.
Many are the times that I think of you, Lorraine, and say a prayer that the Lord is bringing comfort and strength for each new day He is giving you.
Blessings~

Oh,I so agree. Make sure you tell your spouse or any loved one how much you love them. These are things you will never regret.

This is one of my favourite songs too, and whilst I do heartily agree that we should often tell our loved ones how we feel, it's not just the words that are important.

Along with those words of love, we need to show our love and act in a loving way. Actions often speak much louder than words.

I know that you and your darling not only told each other how much you loved each other, but you showed it in a million different ways every day. That is what makes a love strong and lasting.

Yes, that's a beautiful song. Rod Stwaert does a nice (growly Rod Stwart-esque) version of it too. :)

Much Love, Lorraine. We're all proud of you and blessed by your sharing your journey with us. ♥

I think love can never be too highly recommended.
