A celebration of life and love

Good morning Friends,

It is Sunday morning, 4 weeks ago today my dear husband, Mark,  left this earth, and instead of feeling sad, I want to celebrate his home going to be with God. He is no longer in pain, has no more sorrow, no more anger or distress over what is going on in this world. He is healthy, has joy and peace and is filled with God’s Love and Light to overflowing. I am oh so thankful for that and for the 46 years of love and life we had together.

Yesterday was my last day of work for this past week and it feels good to be home for a few days to putter and do things around here. When I checked the mail yesterday what a delightful surprise I found. The delicious scents that came out of the box when I opened it were so comforting. An old family recipe for pumpkin bread from Sweetbay and brownies too. I’ve had some of the pumpkin bread and it was wonderful. Just right with my coffee this morning and a sweet way to start this day. Thank you dear Sweetbay.

Sweetbay has been an inspiration to me for years. Be sure to check out her beautiful, peaceful gardens on her blog, link above.

We had some gentle rain yesterday and during the night. I love how the drops are hanging onto the rose leaves.

Good morning FlowerLady. How thoughtful of your friend to send the goodies. They look delicious.
I really like the picture of the rain on the rose leaves. I am very sorry for the loss of your hubby, but you are right...he is in a much better place. I'm sure you can still feel his love surrounding you. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Dear Lorraine, this post has brought this thought to my mind.... "you reap what you sew"... I just wanted to commend you on your strength through this difficult time and to let you know that you will indeed be blessed with all that you are doing, for without your realizing, the pain, suffering, and strength is and will be such a comfort to others in many of the challenges they too may face in life... take heart that your words and feelings are not going unnoticed and you are indeed a gift to others... we do not know why we are dealt the things in life we are, we just have to take them and manage the best way we can, one day at a time, one step at a time, one minute at a time... for all the moments you are in turmoil, there are equal moments when you are in strength and faith, there is balance which we cannot see! Have a wonderful week... Hugs.

It's beautiful that you can celebrate Mark's life even as you grieve.

Dear Lorraine, I sure hope my comment slips through cyberspace to you as I'm still having the most dreadful internet connectivity problems but hopefully by end of week it will be sorted.
Your photos are gorgeous, you have a great eye, and may it be a peaceful couple of days off.
Hugs
Rose
