Today's Blooms

Good morning everyone. We had a nice rain last night with a passing thunder storm. More is expected today, and maybe tomorrow too. We've needed it, so I'm not complaining. I went out with camera in hand and here are the pictures that were worthy of posting.

Click on pictures for a larger view.

This first one is Don Juan. The scent is truly the old rose scent. Just wonderful.

Here we have Chrysler Imperial, another truly rose scent.

A bouquet with the two roses, and one of Duchesse de Brabant.

Caladium

Love these colors, and how the whites look like splashes of color from an artists' brush.

This is Duchesse de Brabant with the tiny leaves of the Palo Verde tree in front.

A side view.

A newly opened bud of Duchesse.

And a full blown blossom.

This is a hibiscus bloom about to unfurl.

Spicy Jatropha

The next three pictures are of the crepe that is growing by my shed. This is the best it has ever looked. I love it. Have 5-6 of these around the property.

Have a wonderful, happy, safe and thankful 4th of July.

Our freedoms are priceless.

Fabulous photos as always. The roses are just so pretty. I especially love the water droplets coming off the jatropha buds. Always love seeing your shed with the lovely blooms encircling it. Hope you have a great July 4th as well!

Yes, our freedoms ARE priceless!

Glad your flowers got a "drink"!

That last photo - with the crepe framing St. Francis - is so pretty!

Your roses are also so wonderful. I am anxious to see the yellow hibiscus. The arch way really frames your sculpture. Thanks for sharing them all.

Happy Fourth of July, Flower Lady. You must have a thousand or more plants and flowers growing in your yard. The Duchesse reminds me of my pink peonies that are just finishing up blooming. Beautiful pics
