Allamanda cuttings

Good morning Friends ~ I'm at work and wanted to post about the cuttings a friend brought to me this morning from he and his wife's wonderful colored allamandas. They looked all over for this last summer and finally found two at a nursery. They had given me smaller cuttings earlier this year, but they didn't take. These are nice older cuttings and I have three of them, so I'm hoping they will take root. I love the colors.

This is not my camera so had to figure it out, especially the flash as to how to turn it off. The photo below is with the flash.

This is without the flash and using the flower setting.

The header for your new blog is great. There's Flower Lady, hard at work and her creations around her. Marvelous!

The Alamandas are very pretty.

Beautiful. I was wondering if you use rooting hormones with your cuttings? I have great results when I do.

Have a wonderful weekend.

That is a lovely plant and I hope you are successful in getting it to root this time.

As my children get older I'm sure I will be able to get more involved in my gardening instead of winging it not so great. I'd like to try cuttings. That is such a beautiful flower, by the way.

I have a friend who designed an allamanda stained glass lamp from a picture of one of Tiffany's originals. It is gorgeous. I had never seen this flower in person until now and I can see why Tiffany chose to showcase it's beauty and try to capture it in glass.

I have only seen the yellow and pink colours on alamandas, but that peachy pink and yellow is lovely. I am sure you will have great success getting them to grow having such "green fingers"

By the way congrats on winning the lacey giveaway.
