Oooo, the Mother of Millions is starting to bloom. Take me thru their bloom period, I can't wait to see it all flowered. What is that round object in your workplace? Kit

Your flowers are just lovely. I hadn't heard of St. Vincent Lilac before. Beautiful and fragrant, it sounds wonderful.

Love the embroidery too.

Beautiful blooms that are greatly appreciated this gray, rainy day.

The new project is beautiful. I just crocheted a neckwarmer for myself and my husband said I think I might like one of those....so I finished up the row and gave it to him! He is outside in the cold more than I. He reports back that it works.

I thought hitting 68 this past week was great. 85 would be incredible. Love the blooms.

As someone who has done small scale work before, I know the patience and time a piece like that takes. Very nicely done. Be sure to let us see it when you're finished.

I can't imagine 85! You have so many pretty flowers. I love seeing the Mother of Millions, I remember seeing the buds on an earlier post.

Good morning Folks ~ thanks once again for visiting and your kind comments. I appreciate your time.

Thanks Carol. I am addicted to flowers and bead embroidery. :-)

Kit ~ When MOM is full of blooms it is really pretty. This is called MOM because of all the gazillion babies that come up. The round piece on my work surface is a stained glass light.

SweetBay ~ I could hardly believe the scent of the St. Vincent Lilac yesterday. I'm going to move the plant close to our screened room off the back of our cottage so that we can enjoy it's beauty and scent.

Glenda ~ Glad the pictures added some color and brightness to you gray day. Now that you're back into crocheting, you are going to town with projects. I think it's really neat that your DH wanted a neckwarmer for himself and that it helped to keep the cold at bay.

Cameron ~ 85 was almost too warm. It was cooler yesterday, gray and windy.

Tom ~ 68 is a wonderful temperature. It's the temp that we'd like to have year round. :-)

I have seen your fine, miniature, detailed work and I was truly impressed. Talk about patience! Are you still doing that for clients?

It's not really a lilac. I'll do a post about this vine.

Rambling Tart ~ Spring must seem to take forever to get here for a lot of you. Glad I can give you all a taste of what's to come for you via pictures.

Catherine ~ 85 was a bit much for January. The MOM is an interesting succulent plant.

Thank you all for your compliments on my needlework. I really am enjoying this and have been inspired more by visiting some fantastic bead/embroiderer's blogs and websites.

Have a great day ~ FlowerLady

That's a nice set of blooms you have. I love the mother of millions. I hope mine blooms thicker like that when it's put outside in the spring.

I am amazed at your bead embroidery! It's beautiful!
