Love is in the air

Greetings Folks ~ Here we are into the week where we celebrate Valentine's Day, a day of celebrating Love. I am oh so thankful for the love dear husband and I shared in our 43 years together. My heart/mind are full of memories. I love him more today than ever and I look forward to the day we will be together again. It won't be like we lived this life, but, we will be together and love, peace and joy will be all around. We will be with Jesus our Great God, Who IS Love, gives love and is the reason we can love others.

I am loved, I am blessed.

In this photo below, I did not even see the pale, ghostly flower until I viewed the picture in phone. I don't have a clue as to what it is.

This is 'Hugs-n-Kisses' hibiscus. Bought a couple of months after God called my dear husband home. No two flowers are alike as you will be able to tell in these two different colored blooms, on the same plant. I love this hibiscus and am thrilled with each new bloom.

Now for some snippets of love inside Plum Cottage.

Love is a gift, relish it and share it.

Now it's time for me to head outside again to do some more clean up of  brush piles. I was able to work outside for about 1 1/4 hours yesterday morning, making forward progress. The day before I'd only done about 15-30 minutes. I'll share pics later.

Love, hugs and prayers,
FlowerLady

What a fantastic and unusual hibiscus. I had no idea such a one as "Hugs and Kisses" existed! I always liked the variety of blooms on the shrub "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow," and how blooms differed on the rose "Joseph's Coat," but I have never seen a hibiscus like that! Wow! All of the photos are just gorgeous. That green, glowing bloom looks otherwordly.

Lorraine, "hugs and kisses" to you for Valentines. I love the exotic flowers.
And your collection of hearts. Thank you for sharing. As you work on greenery
to clear, I work on snow shoveling, lol. Don't over do it. Lynn

Beautiful hibiscus flowers! I've never seen that one before! And the "ghostly" blossom in the first picture is very interesting indeed. Whatever it was, it wanted to be seen and it was very special. Thank you for sharing your pictures of "love" and lovers for Valentine's Day. Yes, Love is in the Air for sure. (((hugs))) to you at this special time. Try not to overdo it outside now that the weather is kind of warm again!

I love it when photos have nice surprises in them that you didn't see at the time you took them. I especially like your yellow hibiscus; your macro shot is quite stunning in its details.

Wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day. Glad you have so many wonderful memories of your life with your sweetheart to keep you in good company these days. Keep safe.

Many years ago it was a post featuring your Hugs'n'Kisses that was my first visit to your blog. I wrote and asked you about them, because I thought I must have misunderstood about the different colors blooming on the same plant. You straightened me out back then. Truly amazing!

Love the hibiscus flower. I always think of Mexico when I see those flowers...I just remember the big, beautiful blooms the couple of times I traveled there. And how the lizards would eat the blooms off the plants in one bite!

Hope you have a good weekend. It is bitter cold here in IL (single digits - low teens with below zero at night) and still over two feet of snow on the ground.

Happy Valentine's Day to you and God bless you.

Your flowers, as usual, are simply beautiful. I hope to get a Hibiscus growing this summer. The ghostly flower is really strange. It doesn't look at all like part of the hibiscus. Happy Valentines Day.

Hi Lorraine, lovely photo of you and your husband. Thank you for your comment on the blog, I'm pleased if I have inspired you to do some needlework, your work is beautiful.
I sometimes think blogging is a waste of time but I guess we don't appreciate how many people may be inspired by our posts.

We both were married for 43 years to our beloved husbands, Lorraine, and yes, on day we will be reunited with them in heaven. You’ve been busy around your cottage. It’s been too snowy and frigid here in Texas to even be outside, although I did shovel yesterday!!

I read this many days after Valentine's day...It didn't affect my enjoyment of your words and photos one bit! ❤️

I love how you always do outside work, Lorraine. It is inspiring. I have a big front yard here in the mountains that I still have to get to. I've been concentrating on the inside, but the outside will come soon, as Spring is almost here. Your items of love are charming, and I especially like the Victorian style picture. The hibiscus are a special flower, as they are a reminder of your dear husband.

Wishing you so much love this year, Lorraine.

Hi Lorraine! Oh, I am so excited about your garden. Our gardens don't do anything until late April. We are getting a big dump of snow in Denver tonight. Oh well. It'll be bright tomorrow.
God bless you as you remember the love you and your husband shared. What a gift he was, wasn't he?

FL -- I'm late reading this -- such sweet and moving words. Clearly, you are growing more in love with your sweetheart as each day goes by. I hope you are alright - I see you haven't posted in a while.
That hibiscus!!! Each time you post photos of it, I'm amazed. It's the most gorgeous flower!
Much love, dear one.

I feel just like that about my Beloved, love him more than ever, constantly talk to him and think of him.

Your thoughts on seeing your Beloved again are wonderful. No, it won't be the same, it will be so much better. ♥️

The variety of colors on the hibiscus 🌺 is amazing. I'm particularly drawn to the green and purple/blue? one.

Yay for the energy to do all that yard work!
