Gratitude

Hello Folks ~ I want to say thank you for your prayers. Isaias went from a hurricane to a tropical storm, and after leaving the Bahamas, it has moved up the coast of FL. We had some rain and wind, but not like was predicted. A couple of loud bumps before getting up around 4:30 this morning, and then a transformer blew at the n.e. corner of my property. The power company did come out and took care of that later, giving neighbors power once again. I walked around outside, but did not see what had made those loud noises. Nothing looked out of the ordinary.

It is such a relief to no longer be in the path of this storm.  I am thankful we were spared. I pray for those who will be getting a lot of rain from Isaias all up the east coast this coming week.

Have been watching this lily for a few days as it had a bud and here it is opened and oh so pretty.

I came across this video this afternoon, very soothing.

5 Benefits of Gratitude.

Be thankful, in good and bad times. We have much to learn each day that we are blessed with. It is better to live and learn with a heart filled with gratitude than one filled with all kinds of negatives.

Love, hugs and prayers ~ FlowerLady

It's always good when a storm isn't as bad as predicted. Glad that was the case for you this time.

Hi Rainey. I am glad that you are safe, and that the storm weakened. Also glad you got the power back on. Gratitude is essential to our physical, mental and spiritual health. Hope you week is a good one. Hugs from UT.

So glad you were spared and appear to have been left unscathed! That lily is lovely. There are many things to be grateful for. I love your grateful tone here, Lorraine. You inspire us. Take care!

Wonderful news that it was serious rain but not the hurricane force winds
to go with it. The lily is so unusual to me, very delicate. We have had much
rain in northern Ohio this year. 2 inches at a time several times a week. Normally we are praying for rain by now and have brown grass to show for it.
This has been a good year for fast growing grass and yard work due to the
rain. I think of you when the weeds drink up the water and grow a foot over
night. How it must be to live in a more tropic climate as you have.

I am glad to hear that you were spared. Going through these things seems so much harder when we are alone. That lily is very unique and delicate.

I'm very thankful Isaias wasn't as fierce as he could have been. We only had high winds and some rain, no flooding!
