Computer Woes

Hi Folks ~ Am having major 'puter problems. Not enough memory in my desk top to do anything. I don't know what to do. I did let my dear BIL know, but he's got a whole lot on his plate right now. It is what it is. At least I have this lap top, but it is giving me a hard time also. So, I don't know how much I will be posting,  if you don't here from me you'll know why.

I did order the convection/toaster oven by Oster that I was leaning towards. Got a 20% off promo code from Best Buy and I was thankful for that. Free shipping, no pick up at the store, so it should be here Tuesday. I'm doing some rearranging in the kitchen so as to have a place for the larger oven. I bought a small cabinet at Salvation Army thrift store, and have another cabinet to mount on the wall in kitchen that is out in the caravan being used for storage :-). I am taking out a bookcase that is in the space I need in the kitchen, so going through and getting rid of books. It feels good. I will have pictures when computer situation is under control again.

House is a total wreck with living room and bedroom remodeling going on, and now with the kitchen changeroo too. I'm just taking each day as it comes, trying to go with the flow, be calm and carry on and all of that.

It is gorgeous here, not to rub it in to you freezing northern people. I did work outside a couple of mornings this week and it felt great to do that.

Ok, I'm going to see if this will post.

Later ~ FlowerLady

That computer memory thing can be fixed. You need to find a friend who can help you eliminated some unnecessary items that are taking a lot of memory. Sometimes I forget to empty my trash on my computer and that too is taking memory space.

You might need to try again with your laptop, really they are just another computer, all in one. Hot, too much so here at 31C. Shade is what we need, and I am sure all your worries will fade away tonight. XXXX

I am so sorry to hear your computer is messed up and hope you can get help to get you up and running again really soon! Doing home projects drive me crazy when the whole house gets messed up and in total chaos, LOL, but it will be worth it so just try to think of it as it is all steps to get you to the end result.

Hi Lorraine. Hope your BIL can get your computer fixed at some point!!! It is hard to be without one when we are so used to hopping online at will. I have been purging here, too, and it really does feel good, doesn't it? Have fun making room for your new toaster oven. xo Diana

I hope the changes in your house make you happy when all has finished. And indeed you are so lucky to have such a comfortable climate to be able to be outside in the garden even in winter, but there are advantages and disadvantages, I now think of the terrifying hurricanes you sometimes have. Here it's still very wet, windy and cold, but spring is not that far away. I'm looking forward to it.
Wish you success with solving the computer problems.

I will pray that the computer woes don't cost you any money. That is always disheartening since we depend upon electronics for so many thing nowadays. Love you!!!

Computer memory is what most of us deal with at one time or the other... We keep our photos on external hard drives... You can get one fairly cheaply --and put your photos on it ---and that will help your memory tremendously...

OR --you can see what is taking up a lot of memory (videos/games/photos) --and delete some of the things you don't use nor need.....

Memory CAN also be added --but you'll need help with that...

Good Luck.
Hugs,
Betsy

Oh goodness. If there's anything I hate it's computer problems, mostly because I know very little so it always seems a big deal! Hope some knowledgeable person can put it all to rights!

I'm glad you were able to post! It is so disorienting, once one gets used to the instant/always available features of the Internet, to do without it. We all know how to live without the convenience and our usual ability to communicate with so many people, but I find that there are many days when i want my computer off and on all through the day, so when it's not working I am constantly having to change direction.

Technology can be so frustrating. We were without internet service for almost a week. Back to normal now that the service man has corrected our problem. Hope you get your problems solved soon. Hugs.

I hope you can get your computer problem fixed soon. Can you at least delete files and photos you no longer need? That will give you more room.
