This is a vine I grew from seed, from another lady FL gardener, who I met a couple of years ago. My vine is about 2 ft. tall and I was thrilled to have flowers now in January, since it is supposed to bloom during the warm months.
It is in the nightshade family, as the potato and eggplant are. The flowers are sweetly scented, but not overpowering.
For info on this tender tropical vine go here.

A new-to-me plant! It would only be an annual here, if it would even thrive in our less-warm climate, but it's certainly gorgeous.
You are such an accomplished gardener my dear FlowerLady! This is surely one of the most beautiful plants I have seen- and to have grown it from seed!
I can see why it's classified as a nightshade -- I love the color.
Any plant that flowers in January is a winner. This vine is beautiful.
Those are pretty blooms! They do remind me of potato flowers. How cool you grew them from seeds!
