More January blooms

I decided to go out once more with my camera
to see what could be found,
here are the results.

Do click on the pictures for a larger view.

The first two pictures are of Smith's Parish.
It is an exotic Bermuda mystery rose.
The blooms are small.

This is Phyllis Bide, a Polyantha rose.
She is growing up and over an arbor over a seating area.
She's a climber and her blooms are on the small side also.

This is a Mutabilis bud, which will be open tomorrow.

This is La Marne, a shrub rose.
She is great for our hot and humid climate.

The next three pictures are of Azalea blooms.
I don't know what the name of this Azalea is.
I liked the Copperleaf shrubs leaf as a backdrop,
it looks leathery and the flower soft.

Last, but certainly not least in my humble cottage gardens, is Vanda.
She is about 10-12 ft. into the air.

Consider the lilies how they grow:
they toil not, they spin not;
and yet I say unto you,
that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Luke 12:27

What a pleasant contrast to what I am seeing outside here now!

We are having another winter snowstorm. All is white and very cold.

Beautiful flowers with wonderful music. The lily is very tall for sure, and your small roses still are wonderful.

Greetings from the other end of the country. I can't tell you how welcome seeing flowers is! No chance of that here for about four months. I am heading to a garden show to get my green fix (in Seattle). Are there garden shows in Florida?

I love seeing those roses! I've been noticing growth on mine, but it'll be months before any blooms.
Funny Kit mentioned the Mother of Millions, I just went back through the last couple of posts looking for it too :)

I want a bungalow in Florida... do they exist? To have these beauties in January... Well ... it would beat this -12 wind chill now going on. I love these blooms... especially the bud of La Marne then the unfurled flower. Enjoy your garden Flower Lady!! Thanks for sharing it with us northern birds! ;>)

I was doing some research for my post on Smith's Parrish today when I found you posting "her" yourself. I have linked to your photo so folks can see what she looks like in your garden. http://weareroses.blogspot.com/2010/01/bermudas-mystery.html

I am so glad to see you have some beautiful blooms in your garden these days. Pretty stark here.

Love your roses. I can hardly wait for the next ones here, a while off. I have a photo of a freeze dried bud that's still out there.

Your azalea looks a lot like George Tabor. I'd have to see the whole bush. George has fairly distinctive foliage and configuration.

I'll just sit here quietly and drool.

I love what is blooming in your garden, especially the roses. I cannot wait for my new shrub roses to grow large enough to bloom :^)

Right now, I'd love to live where you live and grow the flowers that you grow! Your photos are lovely and I'm sure being outside in the garden is lovely, too.

Cheers,
Freda
(5 inches of snow, but the sun is shining before the temp drops to 10 degrees tonight)

Thanks for stopping by the work site. I know you will not be overwhelmed with traffic - business is a little slow as it is so cold. I enjoyed your note. Keep those flowers blooming. We are all enjoying your garden.
