Thanksgiving Day blooms

Happy Thanksgiving morning to all of you who celebrate this holiday.
To others, Happy Thursday.

Our little cottage is starting to smell yummy, and dinner should be around 1:45.

It was gray and drippy when I first went out this morning,
but the sun is shining now.
The temp is currently 72 and feels like it is 74.
Tonight's temp will be around 52 and feel like it's in the mid 40's.

Before I got going with dinner preparations,
I grabbed the camera and went out to take pictures.
Click on pictures for viewing larger images.

This first picture is Thunbergia, shrub form.

This is Salvia coccinea.

Purple heart or Tradescantia pallida

An unknown hibiscus.

Smith's Parish.

Old Blush

Mm. Laurette Messimy in the next three pictures.

Maman Cochet climber ~ she has a wonderful scent.

Maggie

Louis Philippe in the next two pics.

Drooping Duchesse de Brabant.

What a beautiful array of blooms today! I love the colour of the Thunbergia and your roses are lovely. I have that salvia...didn't know its name. Glad I do now.

Happy holidays!

Hi FlowerLady,
I am eating lunch and reading a few blogs. I enjoyed your words and blooms. It's 37 right now, and I am tickled it's supposed to get to 48 to 50.

You menu sounds yummy!

Thanks for the tip on Lemon Verbena Lady. I saw a comment of hers somewhere, and thought about checking it out, but haven't yet.

Happy Thanksgiving!

You still have so many wonderful rose blooms. I would take your temps too.
It was sunny this morning but clouding up rapidly and talk of flurries coming in. Drat! Not ready for that stuff.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Your flowers look great still. I am depending on you to share during all of my gray winters. I will give you marvelous snow scenes. My brothers flowers are doing well in Arizona too. Have a great day and get some rest from all your hard work.

Good morning everyone. Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday.

It is a breezy, cold morning for us, but it is a welcome relief.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I hope to give you all some garden pics throughout the winter to keep you going until your own gardens are awake and blooming once again.

Kanak ~ That Thunbergia is one of my favorites in the garden. It's always neat finding out what our flowers are and I'm glad I helped you with the salvia.

Sue ~ You will enjoy Lemon Verbena Lady's blog.

L.D. ~ Do post wonderful snow scenes, as we definitely do NOT see any of that down here.

Hocking Hill Gardener ~ I don't think I'd be ready every winter either. We're never ready for the summer's heat and humidity down here. We have flowers blooming all year, but I think this time of year is when they do their best.

Tatyana ~ The blooms cheered me up too as it was gray and drippy when I took them. Glad I was able to share them here for you all to enjoy.

AZPlantLady ~ We had a lovely dinner and nice quiet day together. Dinner was around 1 and we took a nap afterwards. For supper last night we had our first piece of the sweet potato pie. We were to full from the dinner earlier to have any.

Thanks again everyone for visiting and your kind comments.

Yesmam my Poinsettias are in the ground. I kept them in the house all last winter. Spring I put them in shade on the back porch, about early summer I planted them in the ground in shade....killing frost might be the death of them though...of course, if that happens, I cover them and see with fingers crossed!

Oh my word, they are all gorgeous. I only wish I had a garden with such beauty.

Hope you're having a wonderful day.

BTW, I love the rainfall sound you have on your blog, being from Arizona we don't get to hear that very often :)
