Didn't do what I thought I would :-)

Isn't that the way it goes? I was going to go out and weed and trim in my main garden. I got sidetracked by spying a decorative piece of iron. DH helped me hang it on the privacy fencing, over the Victorian wire bench in our new little arbor covered seating area at nw corner of main garden.

Then I got the idea to paint the front surface to make it show up. After I did that, then I wanted to paint the bench. That took the rest of the morning. My eyes were buggy and my body pooped from standing there painting all that wire. But, I was in the shade, and I wasn't sweating as much as if I had done my original plans. This was more fun, artistic and somewhat relaxing.

I took two pictures outside, and then one from the bedroom window. I think I still want to put another coat on the heart decorative iron piece. to make the hearts stand out, maybe on the sides also. It used to be part of a chandelier. We paid $10 for the bench, many, many years ago at a local flea market.

That's it for now. I'm ready to get horizontal and read for a bit.

Have a nice evening and a nice restful sleep.

Jenny ~ Thank you. It was a fun project.

LeSan ~ Thanks. The area definitely needed some color, and this is pretty bold, but I love it. We have found some interesting treasures through the years.

Have a great day Ladies ~ FlowerLady

I love how we can take something old and bring it alive again by repurposing. Have a good day.

I noticed we were married in the same year. I like your decorative garden pieces. I have a piece of decorative iron in my bird feeding area. I have a corner piece salvaged from my mailbox post mishap that I am still trying to find a place for.

Good morning friends ~ Hope you've had a great week and have a very nice weekend.

I did get out to weed, trim, etc. two mornings this week, so that all looks much nicer for now. Give us a few days of rain and the growth will be back. :-)

Sweet Bay ~ thank you. I love the color. It makes that corner of the garden happy looking and makes you want to go sit over there.

Tina ~ Thanks. We love decorative iron too. I do enjoy reading before sleeping, although sometimes I fall asleep while doing so.

Thrifty Country Woman ~ It sure was a bargain. We're not out looking for 'stuff' anymore, but I have a feeling things would not be that inexpensive anymore, plus harder to find.

Becca ~ It is fun repurposing things, especially if they were scavenged.

Jen ~ Thanks. We can't help it when we get outside and other things beckon us to do or be done. Then we end up there for hours puttering and not doing what we had originally planned. It keeps life interesting.

Kanak Hagjer~ Thank you. It is a treat to visit your blog to see what flowers are blooming for you.

Donna ~ Happy 40th Anniversary to you and your DH. It sure doesn't seem possible does it? I bet you can come up with an idea for using that piece of your mailbox post.

Darla ~ Thanks. The area has become a happy spot, instead of just a dead end. I sit there for short times of rest or just for contemplative staring. Sipping on a tall glass of lemonade sounds like a great idea.

Thanks again everyone for stopping in and leaving your comments.
