A rainbow

I just have to tell this little story that happened on my way to work.  I decided to drive DH’s van because my little old Mazda was running rough. His/now my van is almost like new, we bought it in 2000 I think and it was about a year old. It only has 31,??? miles on it. I love being up high. I had a van myself before and I enjoy them.  I just have to get used to it again.

Anyway, I had to stop to get some gas. As I was standing there pumping it in, I was looking north, and what do I see but a hint of a rainbow. I said to myself, is that real. I kept staring at it and yes, that’s what it was. It was a wide one not a narrow one, so the colors were more diffused. I grabbed my camera and took a couple of pictures, then drove out of there to the intersection hoping the rainbow would stay there until I could get to the other side of the street after waiting at the red light for Pete’s sake. The light turned green and I drove a little further then pulled off the road and snapped a couple more pictures.  I prayed at least one of them would come out. This is over a cemetery, which made it even more profound to me.

Now, here is an interesting tidbit. Both of DH’s paternal grandparents are buried here, and so is my step-dad.

This just makes me smile as I don’t believe in coincidences.

This was a gift from God just for me.

DH is waiting on the rainbow bridge for the wife of his youth, me.

This mornings rainbows

Good morning everyone ~ While sitting here at my desk I would occasionally look out the window and could see the morning clouds. After awhile, I was nudged to go outside with camera and what a wonderful surprise awaited me.  I just couldn’t believe it and thanked God the Creator of the universe for such a delightful gift.  I couldn’t quit smiling.

I’m sure you’ve all heard the story of Noah and the flood.

Here is God’s promise to him and now to us.

And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

Sunlit clouds this morning, rainbow this evening

“Somewhere over the rainbow,
skies are blue,
and the dreams
that you dare to dream
really do come true”
