Joy oh joy - Confederate Rose - Hibiscus mutabilis

Good evening fellow bloggers.

This morning I took a picture of my Confederate Rose bloom, and it was white. When I got home from work this evening, it was pink. It is a single variety of Hibiscus mutabilis and I love it. I grew this from seed this spring and I am thrilled, to say the least, with the resulting plant/blooms. My gardens are sub-tropical, zone 10 in s.e. FL.

Sometimes life can get us down, but all we have to do is take a walk in our gardens and we are lifted up.

Here are the three pictures from today. Tomorrow the flower will be a thing of the past, but not forgotten.

not in the cognitive experience of conscious thought,

but in the aesthetic experience of everyday life.
