Roses, inside & out

Good morning Folks ~ I hope you all had a lovely Easter and where you are having spring I hope you are enjoying it too, and for those at the start of fall in your area, enjoy it also.

We had rain off and on all day yesterday, rain and T-storms around Mon & Tues also.  I did manage to get a load of laundry washed and hung out to dry on Monday and I was thankful for that.

Tuesday I did errands, bank, groceries and picked up my spring/summer bedspread, which I just love.  I love the fall/winter one too, but it is nice to be able to switch out with the seasons now.  It gives me something to look forward to. Here are the two spreads, spring on top of fall. You can see the reverse sides of both too. I am happy with these two purchases, 100% cotton, very well made. Two shams came with spread also.

My bedroom is a work in progress, and I will be working in here as the new spread has inspired me to do so.

Below are some of my roses, some are my new ones bought earlier this year from Rose Petals Nursery. I love them and am eagerly awaiting the other babies to bud and bloom too. It’s exciting.

Dear Lorraine, I am so glad you treated yourself to the new spring/summer bedspread! It is very beautiful and reflects the season so well. I also like that it is made out of 100% cotton, that always feels so much better to the skin (at least to mine) than the synthetic fibers.
I loved seeing the photos of your roses. Especially 'Winecup', which is a new-to-me rose variety, stole my heart and I always get weak knees when I see a photo of 'Miss Atwood'. She is such a beauty!
Warm regards,
Christina

Hugs!

All lovely, bedspread to roses! 'Louis Philippe' never lets us down, everyone in Florida should grow one. Your 'I. H. Tribune' is a real beauty too, I'm in love with that color. All your blooms and garden accessories are popping off your lovely Plum Cottage. _Janice

Love your new quilt. . . I'm a huge quilt fan (unfortunately we have a nibbler in the family who really LOVES quilts!). :-)

Always a tab bit jealous of your roses. Beautiful and ever so out of my gardening reach.

Lorraine, I just don't know how you can remember the names of all your roses... I couldn't name a single one around here. I love the spreads, like bringing your garden into the house, isn't it?!

Hi Lorraine, Your new bedspread is so pretty and colorful... We got a new bed set in January (one of those fancy ones with extra pillows, pillow shams, etc.)... I do NOT like it... I'd rather have an old fashioned quilted bedspread any day. Yours is beautiful.

Love your Roses --and my favorite is Miss Atwood.... Gorgeous.

Hugs,
Betsy

Your quilts are lovely. There's something so homey and comforting about sleeping under a quilt.

I have told you before, and I will tell you again and again ... I love your rose photos!! I see things in your warm garden that I can only dream of having here. Thank you for sharing them with us!

I love switching out bed linens seasonally too. I'll probably still want to put on autumn colors on the bed even when we move to FL--although we won't be as far south as you are. Still, I'm hoping for year round gardening!

I'm loving these photos! Roses! The quilts are gorgeous too!

We've switched to spring/summer linens too! There's something so refreshing about switching with the seasons. I love switching the linens and I love changing vignettes like my centerpieces and runners. I think Spring is my favorite to haul out from storage though :)

I love your new bedspreads Lorraine - they are so pretty, and the Spring/Summer one is perfect for this time of year! I am just making a new quilt for the spare room - this one is really for Fall (I'm out of step with the seasons it seems!) but will make a light floral one next, and also have two winter/Christmas themed ones on the go - it's time to make use of all my fabric! I must say it is enjoyable to finally take the time to make things for us...
We are having lovely weather here, rain today, but sun and warmth all last week, and fore-casted for the week to come - things are growing!
