Thank you!

Good morning Friends ~ I hope you are all enjoying the start of this new year.

I want to thank all of you for your prayers, encouragement, virtual hugs, love and support.  I am feeling much better. One thing about becoming a widow is having more compassion on others when they are down. So many are hurting in this world for a myriad of reasons. We all need love, prayers, support and encouragement.

It is 'chilly' here this morning, after several days of awful heat and humidity. At 7:06 a.m. EST, it is 56 degrees and feels like it is 52. Brrr!  But oh so NICE.  I have some errands to run today and it will be fun to do them in this kind of weather.

Here are a few pics of some blooms from my January gardens.

That's it from Plum Cottage.

Have a really nice week ~ FlowerLady

I am glad to see your flowers blooming. We won't be seeing outside blooms for another few months. Take care,

Lovely and cool, I change your F to C, your temp -30, then divide by 2, so your 56 is our 13C. Lovely for shopping. And, as always, your garden flowers glow. Hugs from down south.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better. The cooler temps have definitely felt nice. We need a little winter before we head back into summer again.

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better. I would love to have your 50 degree temps - it'd feel like a heat wave here! We've been below zero with the wind chill these past couple of days. I'm sitting here on the couch in a long-sleeved shirt with a hoodie over it, and a thick, cable knit blanket over my lap and chest. :-)

How exciting to see your beautiful flowers especially since nothing is blooming in my neck of the woods. Hope you are having a happy new year and feeling better!

Happy to read that you are feeling better, Rainey! Sometimes we just have those days and are thankful for the prayer support that the blog word offers. I hope your errand day was good and you felt, not only the warmth of the air, but the hugs of HIS arms! Blessings, Cindy

yay!! You feel better. January Garden, such a wonderful thing. I have none. We are getting snow today...about 6 inches. The birds are in hiding wherever they stay to be protected from the 19 degree temp.

thanks for sharing your garden. It's always a joy to see.

Dearest Lorraine, it is amazing what lifted prayers can do. So glad you are feeling better. Your cooler temps sound wonderful. I know I love it when our cool down. We are having actual cold days and I am feeling very motivated.
Your winter garden is gorgeous and the blooms are a delight to see. I have a few blooming azaleas. I think they are confused by the warm weather we had in December. Knock out roses are blooming too. Hope you enjoyed a nice day running errands. Blessings, xo

Lorraine, Sorry you've been feeling low, I wish there were a cure for that. Unfortunately , we just roll along with it and deal as best we know how. Having your blooms all year long must make you smile though; my garden is naught but brown toast in January, that is gloomy. My mother is in the same condition as yours, she slipped on the ice and sprained her ankle, which is not good at 89 yrs. Also has some dementia. Wow, guess we better enjoy life while we still can!

Glad you are feeling better.. Blogging is wonderful when it comes to having some awesome friends who love and care about you even if you have not met them... But you (and most of us) also have many wonderful local friends who are just as loving and compassionate.... We ALL need that --especially as we get older...

Hugs to you, my Florida Friend.

Glad to hear you are feeling better too. Sometimes when we share our sadness with others it helps to lift it a bit...doesn't remove it but just a little lifting of the heaviness of it all. We all love you dearly!
