Middle of the week–creating on my mind

Good morning Friends,

Here it is Wednesday already.  I was supposed to be working today through Sat. but things changed because a shipper’s truck broke down in Atlanta, and my boss wasn’t sure when the delivery would be made.  He has to be there, then has to rearrange the shop to accommodate new pieces.  So, here I be, at home sweet home.

Yesterday I found a very pretty,  antique, Victorian crocheted calling card case pattern.  I woke up in the middle of the night thinking of the pattern and how it’s going to turn out. I won’t really know until I make it myself.  I could hardly get back to sleep for thinking about it and other ideas.

This morning when I got up, after mixing up cat food, and starting coffee, I started cutting out felt for lining more needle cases.  They are in seven luscious colors. So now, I’ve got to sew in the felt, add a button, and a little crocheted flower.  Then take pictures and get them uploaded to my Etsy shop. So, I’ll be busy here.  In the picture below you can see the needle cases, and several Irish crocheted roses.  I will be selling these in my shop also as embellishments.  They are in ecru, linen and white.

I also want to plan some meals, bake something, do some indoor homecaring and just enjoy the day.

Here are a few pictures.

Our garden frog prince has taken off his crown and set it on a mushroom next to azaleas with tropicals growing all around too.  The smell of star jasmine fills the air.

Some shells, jasmine, iron, etc.

I moved these orchids outside as the leaves were getting funky after being inside for awhile.  They are now sitting just outside the scullery window, so this picture is looking into the scullery, which is where I wash dishes. Trees, etc. are reflected in the window.

How fun to have an unplanned day off - and not even a sick day! I love the crochet roses. So pretty in those colors.

I have some shells around here; I need to see if I can do something like yours.

You've always got the best photos! I love the roses and your banner photo, pink rose with aged wood behind it...very cool!

The photo of your crochet pieces looks professionally done with the jars beside them. Very nice indeed.

Take care.
