To conquer a piece of earth
and make it as beautiful as one can dream of it being:
That is art, too.
A man cannot be separated from the earth.
I come out of the garden every day feeling,
oh, inspired in a way that one needs
in order to convert the daily-ness
of the life into something greater than that little life itself.

I really appreciate what you wrote today...and can relate to feeling inspired everytime I spend time in the garden. How can we not!?
That really condenses down how a gardner feels.
I think gardening is really just another art form. Some people work in clay, paint, metal, etc. We work in dirt.
Yes, I definitely feel that my garden is like art -- part painting, part sculpture, but a lot slower, and with a lot of variables out of our control thrown in! lol
Good morning Ladies ~ I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
Marissa ~ "How can we not!?" feel inspired every time we spend time in our gardens. That is oh so true. Gardens are a gift to ourselves, to others, to the world. They are healing, inspiring, places of encouragement and worship.
Debbie ~ Our main medium is definitely dirt. Just think of all the beauty that comes out of this material. We take seeds, cuttings, bulbs, plant them and something happens. Growth, blooms, edibles.
Sweet Bay ~ Definitely there are a lot of variables out of our control thrown in. :-) Weather, critters, etc. We do not give up though, we work in and around those variables and beauty happens.
Have a great week.

This is exactly how I feel about being in my garden...it is my creative place. It is never quite the same as I left it the day before, but it allows me to give my input and change it around as I please. It does seem to have a mind of it's own though;-)
Jan ~ Thank you for visiting. Yes, our gardens certainly do have minds of their own. They are a joy to work in, and give much back to us for our labors.
Have a lovely day today.
