Good afternoon blogging friends. We had some much needed rain Monday evening when a T-storm passed over, maybe about 3 - 4 inches. Then more yesterday morning, but not as much. It was just what the plant life needed down here after being in drought conditions for so long.

How do you have so many beautiful flowers so soon? It will turn to the mid-80s for the next few days, although today has been quite chilly and blustery.

Cameron ~ Living down here in zone 10 tropical s.e. FL, there is always something in bloom. Orchids are about to bloom also so I'll be taking pictures of them when they do. Hope your weather warms up soon.

Sweet bay ~ I thought they all looked happy also. You would love sweet Messimy. She has been easy to root from cuttings, so that I have 5 of her now.

You have some GREAT flowers in bloom. I always like the way water drops look on the flowers after a rain.

RE what you said about gardenias on GW: Gardenias want acid soil and they love Epsom Salts. If I hadn't promised the little rooted one I have to my neighbor, I'd have sent you it. I'll root more.
They also don't want to be loved to death. Yellow leaves mean they got a little dry, or it's time to shed, not to worry.

Oh my gosh Nell. If you could root one for me, I would be so grateful. Maybe I can root a rose for you. Do you see any that you would like?
Maybe that's what I did wrong with the gardenias, to much TLC. Do you know the variety of yours? How big does it get? I just love that scent!!!
