Good morning Friends,
Since this rose blew Christina away, this post is nothing but pictures of ‘Maman Cochet’ taken the past few days. I counted 11 buds on her and she had three open blooms. I love this rose. This particular plant is a cutting I successfully rooted from my first plant. I went out a few minutes ago and there are rose petals on the ground, one bud on it’s way to opening.
Hope you all will enjoy, I just wish you could smell her wonderful scent.
Have a great weekend ~ FlowerLady

That's a lovely rose! I love the one pictured in your header also. The quote at the bottom of the post is perfect too. How I long for spring!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful Rose. Added bonus for so many buds this early.

Oh, I DID enjoy. And I almost think I can smell it all the way up here in Indiana!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis rose looks delicate in color and yet sturdy in nature. Just beautiful .. and if only I could grow roses without deer/moose munching them, I'd have them all over the place.
ReplyDeleteJust georgeous ..
ReplyDeleteSo lovely, like silk, and such delicate colors.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very beautiful rose, very delicate and maybe fragrant too? I am not entirely sure that this is Maman Cochet though...
ReplyDeleteI love the quote - so very true!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing sweeter than the smell of a rose. My mom used to grow beautiful roses, but here it is so much work (short summer; packing them in and out; store inside for the winter). On her death bed she told me to never grow roses-they are too much work. I'll probably heed her advice for now, but I imagine one day I'll grow a rose just for her.
ReplyDeleteYour roses are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy mother had a way with roses.
Always brought me one or gave me one when I saw her.
Gone 12 years and I miss her and
the roses...
Oh!
ReplyDeleteMYYY!!
What a wonderful tribute to the rose and to your photography!
ReplyDeleteShe looks like a rose is supposed to look. And she has fragrance as all roses should. I hope the rose breeders are listening!
I was poking about in my garden yesterday and all my roses are sprouting little leaves. I thought about your beautiful roses and dream of the day when mine will be so stunning...maybe this year.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Rose! My one Rose seems to have made it over winter. I added her late last year and was wondering if she would survive and with this mild winter, she did just fine. ONly a knockout but my first just the same so I am happy to see new growth...
ReplyDeleteI can see why you love this one so much! She's lovely, FL!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing her with us!
Wow those roses are outstanding. I want to grab them from my computer screen and stick my nose into them and breathe. :) Thank you for posting so many luscious photos. We northerners really need you!
ReplyDeleteDear FlowerLady, thanks you sooo... much for these photos of ‘Maman Cochet’! That is so nice of you! I am absolutely in love with this rose. If my pot ghetto wouldn't be as big as it is I would get this rose immediately, but the way things are it only goes on my rose wish list for now. You really got some beautiful shots of this incredible beauty!

It's a lovely rose, Flower Lady! I can even see some pinkish hues in this overwise pure creamy white beauty. I can imagine how nice the fragrance is.
