I found the Birding By Ear site and will be visiting that a lot. I do love Cornell Labs, didn't know they had this series though.

We have a lot of cardinals and I am familiar with their song. There is also a sound they make when they have babies learning how to fly. I believe the male makes it, and it is just a simple "Chip...Chip...Chip". They get them out of the nest and onto nearby branches and I think he is encouraging the babies to leap off the branch.

And I don't know if I've told you this before or not, but I've thought it many times, and that is that I just love how you see the significance of things that you are led to find as gifts from God or from someone who has passed. I have that same belief. It's uncanny, sometimes will be just the thing I need to jerk me out of a bad mood, sometimes just little gifts from God to let me know He's with me. So comforting and truly a blessing.

I look at lost jobs as a sign that you are done with that phase of your life. It's like the pushing of a birdling out of the nest. If you keep yourself open to opportunities, walk through every door that opens to you, you will be better off than you were before. I've had this happen to me, seen it happen to others so many times.

May you have a wonderful 2015.
