I've seen some that are pink.

Nell ~ I saw your spiderwort in CG and you have a wonderful bunch of them.

Thanks Marla ~ they can become invasive, but I don't really care, yet. :-) I just dig them up and plant them elsewhere.

Enjoy your spring gardening projects ~ FlowerLadyFlowerLady Lorrainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17678852154334714784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5353873250655389819.post-72261771999836844762009-03-22T11:54:00.001-04:002009-03-22T11:54:00.001-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Marlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12450001180027863012noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5353873250655389819.post-23042810556799457212009-03-22T11:54:00.000-04:002009-03-22T11:54:00.000-04:00I love all of your flowers. It does become invasive after awhile, especially were I had planted it.Marlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12450001180027863012noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5353873250655389819.post-68966127557621525592009-03-20T15:45:00.000-04:002009-03-20T15:45:00.000-04:00I love spiderwort, too. I spread it all across the back of the long rock bed where it can grow into huge clumps, blooming ahead of everything else.

My only complaint: the blooms open while it is still in shade, closing as the orange California poppies are just opening to the approaching sun. For a brief interval, they're beautiful together.Jean Campbellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09000315400392984647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5353873250655389819.post-29067951621309776382009-03-19T22:41:00.000-04:002009-03-19T22:41:00.000-04:00I see those spider worts :D If you lived nearby, I...I see those spider worts :D If you lived nearby, I'd let you take all you want!
They're one of the first signs of spring around here.
kudzuKudzuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05748578648683555014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5353873250655389819.post-66261253571655607072009-03-19T15:26:00.000-04:002009-03-19T15:26:00.000-04:00I love spiderwort too. I can usually get dirty in the gardens just about any day of the year. I do have some seeds to plant and other things to transplant, so I've plenty to do and look forward to it. Gardening is my favorite hobby.

Happy Spring ~ FlowerLadyFlowerLady Lorrainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17678852154334714784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5353873250655389819.post-37762973957628518042009-03-19T14:05:00.000-04:002009-03-19T14:05:00.000-04:00Too bad you are still having rain.
