TA DA!!!

Hi Folks ~ This will be just a teaser post of what went on between 8-2 today. It is amazing what can happen when you have 19-20 people working together, ages from 3 1/2 to in the 70's I would guess.

I've walked around 'Plum Cottage' several times since everyone left, and I can't help but smile and know that my dear Mark is smiling too. There was love for me and the property, love for each other, lots of laughter, bagels, donuts, and coffee, to start, then sandwich makings and chips, for lunch and lots of water.

It was partly cloudy all day, a few sprinkles too, but actually the weather was perfect for painting 'Plum Cottage'.

I am so thankful for the outpouring of love. I've only known these people about 7 months. I feel so blessed to have them in my life.

I had so many complements on the color, from both males and females. Lots of comments on how unique and great the place is. A hidden, secret place, that people don't even know exists off the busy road out front. They thought the junk they saw was cool. Men and women drooled over Mark's workshop.

I am celebrating after a nice hot shower, with a nice ice cold margarita. A celebratory drink that Mark and I always enjoyed.

I printed up  something to show 'us', and for the guests to sign at the bottom. A sweet momento for me to have of this wonderful day.  Photo of us taken at a nephew's wedding several years ago. Photo of Mark taken in June, just 6 months before he went to his heavenly home. He was working on our neighbor's roof and I was in the main garden with my camera. I looked up, we both saw each other, he waved, I clicked. Priceless to me.

Here's one photo to whet you appetites.

That's it for now. I'm ready for bed, although it is too early for that. I've been awake since 3 this morning. I need to fix some supper, then go get horizontal.

Thanks for all of your love, prayers, good wishes for this project today. It was much appreciated by us all.

It's midnight here, and even though I am just about to go to bed I thought that I would drop by and see what's happening in blogland. This post popped up and brought a big smile to my face. I needed that, thanks Lorraine.

That pretty plum color is so pretty on your home. I like your metal decorations, too. Great fellowship at your church. It is wonderful that they were there to help you.

It looks beautiful and I cannot wait to see more. It is so good when you have people help you when you really need them. In this day and age it can be a problem, but when they do it puts your faith back into people and to God.

Kindness seems like such a simple thing . . . but ~ oh the power it has to impact someone else's life. I am so happy you have been touched by the kindness of others. And everyone's work is looking great. I love the color.
