Happy Thanksgiving week!

Hello Folks ~ It is a gray, wet morning here in s.e. FL.  Cooler temps are coming and I am thankful for that.

Also, I learned yesterday that I’m having another guest for Thanksgiving dinner, my nephew Josh. Hurray!  I’ve not seen him since he was a lad and now he’s become a ‘man’ and I look forward to getting to know him.  I’ve been told he’s a lot like my dear husband. His father, Todd,  is my husband’s brother. Josh is a tech geek and I look forward to help from him with my new smart phone and the tablet I got for free for buying the phone. Todd put me on his family plan for unlimited phone and texting. The phone is my Christmas present to myself this year. After reviewing on Google, I decided to get the LG G3 and have LOTS to learn.

Here’s a photo taken with the phone camera.  This is ‘Kathleen’.

My first ‘selfie’.  Usually I take pics of myself in a mirror.

These next two pictures are of me not quite awake. Had gone to bed very late for me the night before, 11:30, and then up at 3:30.

When I sit in my chair for any length of time, Miss Tork climbs up on my chest and sits. She’s done this since she was small.  I’m her mommy. Smile

In the second picture she doesn’t look too happy with me taking her picture.

I’ve lots to learn and it’s exciting and scary at the same time.

Well, I sat down and figured my monthly expenses and I ‘need’ a part-time job, so am praying about that, and ask for your prayers too. My SIL Sue sent me a good verse this morning,

Now unto him (Jesus/God) that is able to do exceeding abundantly

above all that we ask or think,

according to the power that worketh in us,

Unto him be glory

Epehsians 3:20-21a

I wish all of you here in the US a great Thanksgiving.  Enjoy preparing your homes and food for guests.  If you’re by yourself, make a nice meal just for you.

Above all let’s thank God for His many blessings and tender mercies.

Let’s also remember to pray for those who are hurting around the world.

Love, hugs & prayers

Lorraine- Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. I am so happy you will see your nephew after all these years. I pray that you can find a job that works for you. Scary stuff-retiring and needing money, isn't it? Blessings- xo Diana

You will get lots of help from the young man, and selfies, they are the way to go, to show us you and Miss Tork. A job, that will happen too,I am sure.

Dear Lorraine, congratulations to your new smart phone! I totally agree there is a lot to learn because these little tech miracles are so capable, but to get them to work on a basic level is not too difficult. I am sure you have that down very soon. Love the photo of the rose. It is still amazing to me how good the cameras are in these phones.
Wishing you that you find a part time job and that you have a great Thanksgiving!
Warm regards,
Christina

I bought the G3 last year and love it. My nephew who sells technology to schools has the same phone so I know it's a good choice. It's not that hard to learn. I put the manual on my computer and went through it page by page to set up my phone the way I want it. It's easy peasy. AND, it takes great pics!!

Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy all your company. You'll have fun. AND remember when you put your fate in the hands of the Lord it will all work out. Keep your eyes open when that job opportunity appears!!
xx, Carol

You will master that phone and tablet quickly! Good to have the nephew on hand to help. I have had to get some help with my tablet, especially the pictures.

Loved the selfies! You won't find me doing that I assure you! Bad enough to pass a mirror and think who on earth is that?

Enjoy your Thanksgiving.

I will hold a good thought for you and the job.

Loved hearing of your Thanksgiving plans! I agree with what you said about if you are alone, make a nice meal. We do have to make every moment count even if it is just by ourselves, huh? Thanksgiving is truly my favorite holiday so I try to make it special here too. You are going to be a pro at taking selfies before you know it. Loved seeing your smiling face and your precious cat!

Happy Thanksgiving my dear friend!

Hi Flower Lady. :) I love that passage from Ephesians. Oh, how faithful our Savior is! I know that as you trust in Him and seek His wisdom He will take care of your financial needs. I know so well what you are going through, for as you know I've been there. Hugs the kitties for me. So sweet.
