Not a coincidence

Good morning Folks ~ Here it is another Friday already, the first Friday of September. This year is certainly zipping right along.

Thank you again for all of your support. It uplifts more than you can imagine.

It is still very hot and humid down here, but I feel hints of fall coming. Yesterday as I was working outside there was a lovely breeze from the north and I just stood there, closed my eyes, enjoyed and thanked God. It was in the mid to high 80’s yesterday but with the humidity, it feels like the low 100’s. I worked outside for around 3 hours, mowing, trimming overgrown shrubs and vines, raking and bagging. Working in the shade was nice, in the sun, not so nice. Still LOTS more to do, a little at a time.

Last night I was browsing through You-tube movies, and one came up that caught my eye, and it was ‘perfect’ for me right now. It is called ‘Do You Believe?’ It is a Christian movie, one I’ve never heard of. As I watched, I was deeply moved, and then the ending blew me away, so to speak. It was an affirmation of what I had written in my last post. A smile broke out on my face and joy and thanksgiving filled my heart.  I am always amazed, and shouldn’t be, at how God speaks to me, letting me know He loves and cares deeply.  It was definitely not a coincidence. The movie is almost 2 hours long, but moves along and keeps your attention. For any who wish to watch, here is the link, Do You Believe?

Now for a few shots around Plum Cottage gardens.

Good morning, my friend :)

I hope you're feeling much better and that the storms you were worried about have dissipated.

Your flowers are so pretty. Don't work too hard!

I don't believe in coincidences but believe that everything happens for a reason, and messages like this one are meant for us, especially when we are in need of them. You are so right about hints of fall in the air and around us. Most of us don't see them because it is still so hot, but we are just weeks away from a little bit less humidity. Hurray! I, for one, can't wait!!! Have a nice weekend.

Thank you for a link to the movie. I went there to see what it was about and it sucked me in right from the beginning. I don't have time now, so I'm going to see if it's on "On Demand" so I can watch it on TV with Terry.

You are so right. These Serendipitous moments are NOT a coincidence...I firmly believe that. You are so special Rainey. So very special.
xx, Carol

I hope the cooler days stay for a while. Your hibiscus is stunning, what are the pink flowers? Looks like a bulb? And your lady, a beautiful addition, adding so much serenity to your garden.

I concur that it wasn't a coincidence. As always, beautiful flowers. Have a nice holiday weekend!

I love what you said, in the precious post about your home being a nest. So endearing, and so true. So many people have houses, but I wonder how many people really have homes.

I will have to see if I can look up that movie, my problem is usually more of a struggle to find time to watch it.

Have a lovely Labor Day, my friend.

Awww... Lorraine, this was a sweet post today. :)
Isn't God wonderful, good and gracious to us with our every day needs?
We do stand amazed at times, yet we know better. *smiles*
I think I will have to check out your movie. We are always looking for a good movie on those nights that we just want to sit and relax.

You were a busy gal in your yard, and I bet you feel wonderful for having done it all.

Have a beautiful weekend as well.

Blessings ~ Debbie

You flowers show that they love that humidity. They are beautiful. Our neighbors across the street now have property in your state. They came home to see the State Fair and then they took off again. I keep wondering where they are and if they are in a condo next to a golf course. Take care and stay inside until that heat goes away.

God works in such wonderful ways to bring us blessings each and every day.can't even imagine working outside in such heat and humidity. We have had heat and humidity recently and I tend to stay indoors and not work too hard.Have a great weekend.

I am always so amazed that you can have so many blooms this time of year, but I guess you have a lot more rain too.

Last week it was our usual hot and fairly humid, but below 50% I think, and we met a woman who had moved here from Florida. We talked about our camper and how we were going to start traveling to places we might want to retire - cool places so we can get away from this heat. She was amazed, she thinks the weather is perfect here, not to hot, and not humid. Afterward, I told Hubby I am never going to Florida if she thinks our climate is pleasant and dry.

Dear Lorraine, please forgive me for not commenting in a while.
I read some and comment little lately.
I for one
could not make it with the Lord and my continual prayers that go on continually day and night. Sometimes I wonder how can anyone go through this life without this.
I know I am guided, protected and constantly prayer for wisdom.
I know what to do, pace myself and accept this aging process
but I do not like it. So much I like to do, want to do and do not well when I am not doing :)
Take care, your special words always speak to my heart...
It truly feels like Fall in my area and will be in the 50's some nights soon. Hopefully a bad Winter not in my future. I want to stay in my cottage and go no where else :)
