I enjoy watching the birds with their young ones. We have a pair of chickadee's that are checking out a bird box we have attached to our pergola post, I do hope it meets their inspection so I can watch them from the window. Your photos are sweet, how fun to be able to get to see that. Hope you have a wonderful Easter

Oh how exciting.... I love Spring --and watching the birds especially when they are nesting and taking care of their little ones... They are SUCH great parents. We humans need to learn from them...

We have 4 little Bluebird eggs in our Bluebird nestbox this week... SO exciting.
Hugs,
Betsy

Such cute pictures! I got a kick out of the one that looks like he has fluffy, feathered eyebrows and a frown on his little beak. I hope Momma mockingbird is able to keep him safe. Nesting mockingbirds around here dive bomb any person, or pet that comes anywhere near their nest.

Have a beautiful Easter!

Just precious! I love mockingbirds; they are our state bird. They always sound so happy, and even sing at night when the moon is bright. Thanks for sharing this with us.

You must have been very patient and quiet to get so very close to the little bird :o)

Have a lovely Easter weekend Lorraine. I hope the little birdy makes it safe and sound.

Oh, my! Loved the pictures even though I'm not crazy about mocking birds. They bully the other birds here. We are seeing lots of robins this spring and they hold their own with the mocking birds. I love to hear their song, and to watch them as they wheel over the yard, looking for worms and grubs.

How lucky you are to have mockingbirds! Beautiful singers. They are few and far between here in central Kentucky, at least they are in my garden.

Oh I just love Spring and getting to watch all the new life around us. I have a Robin who made her nest right next to my deck so I get to go out there and watch her and the nest, every day.

Oh as for your question on my blog about the new crochet stitch, it's called the Corner to Corner Aghan, there is a tutorial on Youtube you can check out :)

Have a wonderful weekend and a blessed Easter!

So cute. I always feel just as anxious as the bird parent when I see these little ones trying to fly! Have a happy Easter.

I have now, for the first time in recollection, seen a photo of a mockingbird! Is that an aloe plant the fledgling is sitting in?

You got a lot of good pictures of that baby! I wonder where our mockingbirds will nest this year. They raised a brood right next to the house last summer.

The close-up shots are amazing--such detail in a bird's tiny foot.

Beautiful photos of the young bird. But I was drawn to the amazing aloe vera plants. I have never seen them growing up so tall. They look so healthy as well.
