I love flowers but especially roses :-)

Good morning Folks ~ I hope you are starting to see signs of spring happening where you are. Down here in tropical s.e. FL, we are able to garden all year long, so don’t notice a real difference.  Although there are certain trees, etc. that bloom only in the spring and they are beautiful.

It is another perfectly gorgeous day down here and I try to be outside doing things on days like this.

Blooms below are from yesterday and this morning.

This new growth on my Lancepod Tree excited me to no end when I saw it yesterday. It is about 8 ft. tall with a tuft of growth at the top. I just planted this in the ground by the heart patio, to the west of the caravan.  In time this will give some glorious, beautiful shade.

I bought this orchid below around my birthday (March) last year and it is the Dancing Lady orchid and I am excitedly looking forward to seeing the blooms.  I had this many, many years ago and lost it. There are two flower spikes below, the blooms will be yellow.

Below are the blooms of the ever populating Mom-of-millions.

Well, that’s it for today. I need to get up off my seat and start doing some things for the day, first off being some breakfast.

“Today I have a choice.

To live

to enter into,

to be present in

this life,

or to wait for a life yet to be.”

Let’s choose,

“the gladness--to just be”.

Gorgeous roses, Lorraine! I just posted mine from this morning! I am amazed when folks can remember all the names! I once had a huge Garden Party rose that was so amazing, I never forgot it's name! Mine are all mostly mini roses from the grocery store now! I am finding a flush of blooming going on right now...you too??? Loving this weather! Just gorgeous, is right!!! Have a great day!

Love the portrait of you in the gazing ball with the rose!

I like that "just to be" phrase.

Lorraine,
All your flowers are looking quite gorgeous and obviously thriving is this beautiful weather we're having here in Florida. This is my favorite time of year, when we have this nice reprieve from the intense heat and humidity, so lovely outside right now! Have a blessed day!

I swear I could almost smell them! Just beautiful. I've sometimes wondered if I would like gardening as much if it was something I could do year round or would it become a chore?

The gazing ball and the quote words will set me up for a great day ahead, those roses are magnificent, so clear and bright, all beauteous. Fond cheers, Jean.

I love the reflection of you in the gazing ball, the roses also some of my favorites. Much to my delight we have daffodils peeking through the ground so spring can't be far. Have a wonderful day!

Your roses
make me almost envious.
Roses will not grow in this
damp earth by the woods.
Love your new header...

Your roses are just out of this world beautiful!! Do you have problems with diseases on them? My roses get black spots on their leaves then completely defoliate. I just saw shoots from my surprise lilies ~ hope they don't get killed by another cold spell!

I love roses as well. I am not good at growing them so I enjoy seeing the ones you post.

I, too, am a lover of roses...although I don't have the variety you do. You also have some very interesting plants in Florida that we would never be able to grow here.

Rainey, all of your roses are perfectly splendid, you are certainly a wonderful caretaker. I have a similar steel gazing ball, too, but mine doesn't reflect the same type of beauty yours does. Hugs to you!

Lovely blooms. Spring is so close for us and even though still nasty up here we can see the light of gardening.

if Mom-of-millions flowers can talk, wonder what the reply would be if asked "why are you looking down".... :)

I'll be waiting for your tree to grow up and oncidiums to bloom do their dance little lady dance. Love your reflection and the globe too.

I am so envious of your gorgeous blooms right now. But on the bright side, Daffodils are opening and giving me hope that spring is just around the corner...

I love roses too Lorraine and I love dropping by to look at your beauties. Especially this winter they always gave me a lift to see the color. Have a lovely weekend.

I love your reflection in the ball! Sweet picture. We had a little spring this week, but I believe winter is suppose to return this weekend. :/

Gorgeous post, Lorraine. As you know, I love ROSES too... We have Mr. Lincoln in our yard also.

Bet the roses enjoy your climate down there more than they do up here... It's going to turn cold AGAIN this coming week.

Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy

Oh, your beautiful photos and the way you talk about the weather not changing makes my gardening heart want to come to Florida! Here in the west part of Texas the weather is getting warmer and the tulips are breaking ground........however, the high winds and dirt have started kicking up. It is a constant struggle to try to keep blooms on even the trees. But for what ever I am able to get to bloom, I am grateful. Love your pretty blog!

Roses are a favorite of mine, too. There is just something so feminine and lovely about them. You have some lovely roses. I hope your evening is lovely, too, Lorraine.

So many wonderful roses! I'd be hard-pressed to choose a favorite. I love the color of the one that is rather lilac in shade, but OH, I love the ones with heady scent and many pedals. You're so fortunate to have such a garden. Love the big ball, and your reflection :) That was a kind gift for him to give you.

Oh my that clock vine is something else! Such pretty flowers. :) Kit

Dear Lorraine..since the rose is my favorite flower..thought I do love them all..this post made my morning!
Thank you so very much for stopping by and leaving me such a dear comment. I appreciated it. I am watching my "America" climbing rose beginning to grow up the arbor next to my patio in the back yard..so far only a few blooms..but by the end of this year I am hoping it blooms and finally reaches the top..This will be the third arbor I've covered with America. I loved seeing all of your roses..and like me, some of the names of mine have disappeared. I want one called IRISH HOPE so badly. I bought one once and it died..due to my own fault. I didn't get it planted in time.
Have a wonderful day! You and I are so fortunate to be living in an area that isn't being hit with all that snow and now flooding..
Love,
Mona

Hi Lorraine, nice to see some of the roses that are growing in your garden. I love 'Louis Philippe'. My other favorites are 'Heirloom', 'Mister Lincoln' and 'Rose de Rescht'. The latter seems to do quite well in your garden. I remember when you got it as a band not too long ago and now it is blooming so nicely already! Happy gardening!

PS. The clock vine is very beautiful, too!

Lorraine, I enjoyed your colorful post! I have several Mr.Lincoln roses. My Mother-in-law used to give them to me. They grow very tall, and they smell oh so good!
Have a nice week!
