What flower is this?

Hi Folks ~ I’m at work and a girlfriend had these cuttings sitting on my desk when I got here this morning. She passes this tree on the way to work and wanted to know if I knew what it was.  I’ve not even seen it that I know of.  She said it is full of these hang down deals and yellow flowers.  She also brought me a little black fruit from it.  I assume there are seeds inside, but I don’t know.

We are in  s.e. FL zone 10.

It sure is a neat looking bloom and I’m sure there is someone out there who can give us the name of it.

Thanks for looking and for the info in advance. Smile

Interesting flower to be sure. Nothing like it here in Arizona. I'd like to see the kind of plant it came from. Have a good weekend, Lorraine.

I think that there is a tree called Golden Showers or Golden Rain tree...Could that be the one? Not sure about the fruit though..

I posted the pictures at a forum for FL gardens and found out it is
Gmelina philippensis or Parrot's Beak.

Could it be this? I've been wanting a Golden Chain tree for awhile now.
