Words for today ~ Bask and rest

Bask ~ to lie or relax in a pleasant warmth or atmosphere

Rest ~ peace of mind or spirit

This is what I wish to do today and every day, as I go about living my life.

Basking and resting in the tender loving care of God almighty.

***

Rest in the LORD,

and wait patiently for him.

Psa_37:7

Return unto thy rest, O my soul;

for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.

Psa_116:7

Come unto me,

all ye that labour and are heavy laden,

and I will give you rest.

Mat_11:28

*****************

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Psalms 23:1-4

May you rest and bask in God’s love today and always.

It seems that He speaks to us in quiet times, doesn't it!? Being still and quiet seems a difficult task for me, I hope you are able to be still and rest, and hear Him.

Dear Lorraine, thank you for your comforting words to my spirit.
May they comfort you.
Very cold tonight
and am dreaming of Spring
and my body healing...

The Twenty-third Psalm, my favorite of all, the one my mother taught me to say as a child.

Blessings to you, dear Lorraine.
