Happy Valentine’s Day to all

May love and peace surround and fill you today.

My first blog post to read this morning was one by dear Heather. Her writings have touched my heart before, but today’s especially did. You can read it here, Love Forever. This had tears streaming down my cheeks.

The second blog post I read was this one by a wonderful photographer and friend, Georgianna, Romantic Vignettes of Paris. My husband and I were in Paris in the spring of 1973, as part of our 60 day backpacking tour after he got out of the US Navy and before we came home here to the US. Paris was beautiful.  We were there 6 days.

Below is a little painting that sits on my nightstand, the little heart pin is from my friend Nanci, given to me after Mark went to his heavenly home.

Love is an image of God,
and not a lifeless image,
but the living essence of the divine nature
which beams full of all goodness.

On this day I wish that your strength and loving heart will get you through. A little tear may help.

Thinking of you and praying for you.

My Dear Lorraine... I didn't mean to make you cry! But then, some tears just "taste good"!

Blessings to you on this day, remember, you are never alone, and you are loved!

Hugs.

Hi dear Lorraine,
I just read your last post on your first Valentine's Day without your DH. It has touched my heart deeply and I hope that your remembering this Valentine's Day has been heart-healing. My husband and I have been married for 40 yrs but have been in love for 44. Yes, it is a work of art and also a work of heart. Marriages don't just happen do they? It really is work...and it is the best work we can do I think.
Thank you for blessing me today!
much love...

Hello, dear Lorraine,

Thank you for sharing the link to my images. I'm so pleased that they brought back happy memories of the visit to Paris you two shared. That must have been such a special trip, with memories to last a lifetime and beyond.

And how beautiful your last renewal ceremony was.

Sending thoughts and best wishes to you.

Rainey, you made Valentine's Day such a sweet Celebration of your marriage.

We never renewed our vows, our thinking being that the knot that the Rev. Dykes tied more than 50 years ago was tight forever. Maybe we should.

What IS it about Paris?!? How wonderful that you and Mark were able to share it. (And thank you for your "true love" comment on my post. If anyone should know, it would be you, sweet lady....)

Your Mark sounds and looks like he was a wonderful man on earth. I hope my dad has got to meet him in heaven.
