Feeling lighter

Good morning Friends ~ I want to thank you all again for your prayers, positive thoughts, love and encouragement. They do make a difference.

Wednesday afternoon all of a sudden a wash of positive, loving energy came over me and I knew it had to be from God and that all of you were partly responsible for it also. The feeling has not left me. I did have a good cry at work yesterday with my friend Nanci, and laughed with my other friend Cathy and I was/am so thankful to God for being with me every step of this journey. Tears are healing, laughter is good medicine.

I read a wonderful review on the book I ordered last week and am eagerly awaiting, ‘The Undistracted Widow’ by Carol W. Cornish.

God is good, He is more than good, He is AWESOME. At what time I am afraid, anxious, I will trust in Him.

My neighbors are going on a cruise so they gave me some corn on the cob, a cantaloupe, some sweet potatoes and a small watermelon. I’m not a fan of watermelon so am taking it to work to give to my friend Nanci and her husband John as they do like it. The fish my neighbor’s gave me the other night was delicious by the way.

Here are some photos taken this morning.

Gazing ball that dear husband Mark bought me for my birthday quite a few years ago. It is stainless steel.

Here I am in it. It is around 60 degrees here this morning. I have on an old pair of capri pants, a t-shirt of DH’s, an old flannel shirt of his and flip-flops. Winter in FL is grand. Smile

That’s it for now. Breakfast is calling. Cantaloupe, banana, strawberries and plain yogurt with some raw Florida honey on top. Oh yea and a glass of prune juice.

Good Morning,
What a wonderful post this morning. We are all here, to support you.
I think capri's, flip-flops sound pretty good, except I would freeze here doing that yet. In a few months though.
Love your roses, wish there was smell monitors around.
Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.
Love and Hugs

Keep God is priority number one. Keeping the communications open to share your feelings is great too. We were created to feel all the emotions and good crying is healing. God bless your weekend.

I like that last quote. I try to remember to live each day as if it were my last, but sometimes I just don't have the energy to do what I want. I'm learning to be content with just having an ordinary day, enjoying the ordinary things. Hugs.

Dear Lorraine, I am glad to read that you are feeling a little lighter. As always I loved to see you flowers. The azaleas have such a delicate pink color, just to my liking. Nice that you got some "out of the usual" pansies, love their unique colors, too. How fun to see that you have a gazing ball as well in your garden. Mine is made out of glass, though, stainless steel is much more durable I guess. Happy Gardening!

Good morning, Lorraine. I’m enjoying your winter pansies. For the first time in years I don’t have any this season. I kept waiting for first frost and it never came. As for the turquoise pot, isn’t it funny how we can walk by something every day and it looks fine. Then you snap a photo and think, of my . . . I need to fix that. A terra cotta pot would balance the other one on that side. I hope your find a new home for the turquoise one. It’s pretty too; just in the wrong place. Hope you have a grand weekend.

So glad you're feeling better. Your azalea is gorgeous. And I can't believe you have roses blooming already! I'm so jealous! ;) Love the little garden boy! His expression is charming - so much better than if he had a silly smile on.

As usual, I love the peek into your yard... Re. the turquoise planter, maybe you could buy a can of that paint for plastic in a color to match the caravan?????

I have always loved pansy faces. I'm surprised you can grow them in FL as they seem to flourish in cooler weather. Maybe I need to plant some here in KY for late winter/early spring.
