A gray, drippy day, more blooms

Good morning everyone. We had a nice, heavy rain late yesterday afternoon, and it is lightly drizzling out this morning. T-storms are expected today and tonight. We'll see. I am very happy to have the rain.

I took a few more pictures. Enjoy.

Don Juan also had a nice bloom which I almost missed. I picked it and brought it inside too. They both have their own wonderful scents, but Chrysler is my favorite of these two.

The stillness of the early morning scene enables me
to take in and enjoy many things
which pass me by during the bustle of the day.
First, there are the scents,
which seem even more generous with their offerings
than they are in the evening.

So nice that you can have cut roses on your table. I am glad the rain is gone from here...have had enough of it for awhile...looking forward to some gardening this weekend.

You are lucky to have all this rain, we have had a pretty dry winter so far... You roses look great as always, and it is nice to see the Chrysler bud finally open.

You have such amazing roses. My mom grew them, too, but it is so much work here...keeping them in pots and bringing them in and out. I haven't given it a try yet.

Dear Flowerlady,
Those brilliant red roses with your cobalt blue glass is really pretty. I never mind dreary/rainy days... it always makes me feel the garden is being taken care of from heaven. Have a wonderful weekend.

I love the color of that first pink one. So pretty! We have sunshine today, and warmer temperatures. Basking in it. Have a wonderful weekend.

I am a bit behind looking through your posts, I so enjoy each and every one and love to savor them. I'm sorry to hear about your playlist. Your roses are so beautiful and just what I needed for inspiration on my current project. I've been looking at them repeatedly for color shading. Hope you have a restful weekend!

Chrysler and Don Jaun are both lovely vivid rich reds. Borderer is such a charmer.

A rose bud or bloom is for me utter perfection in beauty.

I am determined to try a few hybrid teas again...despite our lurking Rose Rosette Disease.

Glad you are getting some nice rains.
