Another rainy day, & a mystery flower

Good morning everyone. We woke up to more rain, and a chilly 54 that felt like it was 45. It is 'supposed' to get sunny and warmer, up to around mid 60's today, we'll see. The rain is nice for my gardens.

I want to see if any of you can guess what this flower is? It is a sort of trick question. There can be flowers anywhere if we but look. :-)

Let the rain kiss you.
Let the rain beat upon your head
with silver liquid drops.
Let the rain sing you a lullaby.

I am guessing a veggie of some sort, It looks like the base of a cabbage when you cut off the lower part.

More rain, you are storing up some good stuff for the hot summer months.

What a clever trick! I think it is a cut-off bottom of a red cabbage, or maybe another vegetable:-). Fun post.

It looks like the cut off section of a red cabbage to me. What's funny is I saw the picture and said <"Man I've GOT TO read and find out what this is. " LOL

Looks like a beautiful cabbage to me. Would you be showing the whole thing before you cut it? I would like to know how it looked like.

Over here, red/purple cabbage with green leaves are sold for a hefty amount during Valentine. I heard that they are not edible but surely very pretty.

I am so terrible at guessing these things.LOL! It might be the end off of red cabbage though. You are really having a cool spell. We are suppose to get up into the forties next week. It will feel like a heat wave to me. LOL!

Oh, I thought the same thing, a red cabbage 'base', but I could be wrong. You're right, there are things of beauty everywhere, we just have to keep our eyes open. Hope it warms up for you soon!

Any winter day above freezing is a blessed, wonderful day to me. I am loving this February weather. I am glad, though, we will have proper temperatures in the 70's again by Monday. : ) I would have to guess your artistic photo is a cabbage as well. Hmmmm.... That seems to be the only guess so far. Wouldn't that be funny if it were something different?

I would guess that is the base of purple cabbage too :)
