Aaahhh, a nice day.

Good evening Folks ~ It was chilly this morning, but turned out to be a perfectly gorgeous winter day here in s.e. FL. After working all week, it was a welcome relief to be puttering around home and gardens today.

I did some trimming and clean up in and around the various garden areas. We took down some lattice that was serving as a roof in our grotto area, we're going to put some corrugated white plastic roofing there instead and I look forward to that.

Tork, our feline outside girl, came up to me while I was gardening and wanted attention. When she does that out of the clear blue, I know it's time for me to take a break, and it's always nice to sit, petting her, as she purrs. We comfort one another, I relax and she relaxes. I read somewhere that cats purring is healing. I need to do a posting on that one day.

Below are some pictures I took today.

Ducher, a nice white rose. I have another picture of this to post, but for some reason the add image button isn't working right. This is the close up. Maybe that's all that's needed.

The following pictures are of the azalea George Tabor.

Here we have a sweet little rose called Phyllis Bide.

peace of mind,

contentment,

grace,

~ the inner awareness of simple abundance ~

it will surely come to us,

but only when we are ready to receive it

with an open and grateful heart.

Your pictures are lovely. I don't think you could have added another any prettier than those. Carla

Ducher is a beauty! and the rest are too. I look forward to viewing and commenting on more of your pretty roses this summer. I enjoyed the poem as well.

I fee that way about my cats too, that we comfort each other. Phyllis Bide has such lovely colors.

Thanks for sharing your good day in the garden. The close-ups of Ducher and Phyllis Bide are just perfect. There is nothing better than a good garden cat is there? I borrow my neighbor's cat who is an outdoor kitty and often comes over while I'm out and about in the yard.

FlowerLady that Phyllis Bide rose is just gorgeous! I love the picture of it laying on the weathered board. My cat Willow likes to help me garden as well, however her method of helping is to climb on my back and knead it while I'm bent over. Fun for her, but rather painful for me! ;0) God Bless!

Our very old yellow kitty starts to purr every time we pick her up. She just loves that we care for her. Your flowers shots are wonderful. I am ready for spring.

I miss our kitty! I do believe that thought about a cat's purring being healing, or at least soothing. Glad you got some work done in your gardens. I know that is soothing for you.

We need something to remind us to stop and rest now and then....good kitty!

Pets are so soothing, aren't they? My little Pudding dog is on my lap right now, since I'm feeling a bit below the weather again. They are so comforting. Love your flowers! Thank you for the gorgeous pictures.

I believe a cat's purr is healing, for sure. I used to have Phyllis but she died for me. I love your photos of her. Beautiful Azaleas and white rose too.

I always enjoy seeing your roses...simply beautiful! And, I can see how a cats purring is healing. Whenever I have to undergo a medical test I always close my eyes and picture myself petting my cats thick fur. It definitely helps reduce my nerves and keeps my mind occupied. Have a great day!
