Cold, cold, cold

It didn't get as cold as predicted, but it was 35 when we got up and with the windchill factor felt like it was 23. Folks, for us that is really cold. I went out to take a couple of pictures since DH said the bird bath had frozen over. It did this last year too. DH is working outside on a project, better him than me. Taking the pictures was enough for me. My fingers were numb, nose and cheeks cold. I even took pictures of myself all bundled up, and that isn't easy. :-)

Here is looking out the scullery window this morning.

The frozen birdbath.

Pink Pet is still blooming like crazy.

Here are some colorful berries on a shrub I think is a Schefflera.

Here I am on this cold winter morning in s.e. FL.

Not exactly smiling am I.

Yep you look cold, very stylish but cold. We are warming up to 20 today, but that is our normal. We don't have a tropical ocean on both sides of our state. Take care!

Cold here too. Temps this morning around 20 degrees. I dripped faucets all night. Suppose to be warming up and by Thur highs around 70 and then another blast. Stay warms.

A frozen bird bath and flowers at the same time. Interesting! Stay warm.

I've been following your weather and your still-lovely garden with interest.
We didn't expect it to be either as hot[ July and August] or as chilly --now! in South Central Kentucky. The weather is a humbling fact of life.
I like your hat--my winter hats are buried somewhere in a yet to be unpacked box!

Oh dear. I was hoping the cold would not go so far south. I bet that is really cold for you all. I hope it does not stay long enough to hurt your plants.

Whoooo your cheeks are red! Hope you went in and had a nice hot cup of tea! Do you even have "real" winter clothes? Here's hoping it warms up for you soon!

Well, the cold made for some fun photos! I love the ones of you! I hope the temps warm up soon, and the citrus crop is not damaged.

Hope the Florida orange trees are doing OK .. 35F is a warm spring day in my neck of the woods. Your cold spell makes for some beautiful pictures. Stay warm!

How funny! It is very cold in Florida!! You better put some lotion on your face and nose, we aren't not accustomed to frost bite, lol!

You look snug as a bug in your winter outfit. Looks like you dodged a big bullet last night with a low of 35. We hovered at a low temp of 30, and many tender plants are hanging their heads this morning. How about your garden?

Our high today was 23 and it was a whopping
11 when we got up this morning with a wind
chill of 4! Yikes! About the same tonight
too but I love it. Also love your hat.
Now you just need to smile and enjoy the
cold!
Hugs,
Sandy

Morning FlowerLady,
I am trying to send you warm thoughts. We have had cold, but very, very little snow this year. You are surely getting some of OUR weather, for sure.
Your little magical kingdom looks like it is riding our the cold well. Enjoy a warm meal, tea, a little toddy?
Have a great week.
